I love laura mercier's SPF 15 Lip Kisses in rose quartz. Avon has some beautiful colours(a bit perfumey). I'm going to need some ideas for winter lips. |

My current favorite (for lip care) is L'Oreal Bare Naturale Gentle Lip Conditioner. Bought one on a whim at the drugstore, suckered in by the huge photo of the lovely Penelope Cruz and bought the color it said she was wearing (Gentle Peach).
It's glossy and shiny but not overly sticky; what amazed me was how well it has hydrated and healed my lips!
My lips ALWAYS seem chapped - I can do a wide grin like The Joker some days and feel the splits opening up, then there's the peelies - I drink enough water, I take vitamins/supplements and I've tried a lot of lip balms over the years but nothing has helped like this lip gloss/conditioner. After 48 hours of using it I did something I've never done with any cosmetic or lip stuff - drove back to the store and bought 4 more tubes at once.
The colors are quite sheer but pretty; I have the gentle peach and the gentle blush. The container is a little interesting; it's topped with a clear soft flexible (plastic?) slant tip, and you twist the container itself so some gloss is pushed up the spout then a bead of it pools out on the tip.
Now I can wear actual lipstick when the rare mood strikes, because my lips are in good enough condition!! (For lipsticks, Guerlaine or Urban Decay's low shine stuff, currently...need to go lipstick shopping now.) |

My favorite lipsticks are: MAC brand
As for the lipgloss, I wear about anything. I don't see any difference between one with the other. |

I love lipstick. I have many different brands, but I love Guerlain kiss kiss, and Revelon colorstay. The textures are both very creamy, doesn't dry my lips out, and have good staying power. |

Chanel Hydrosoleil Wild Honey!!! A very sheer brown-red with a hint of sparkle. Discontinued and I'm down to the last dregs....anyone know the name of the brand that will dupe any color for you? |

Vincent Longo - I'm in love with lipsticks and these are the absolute favorite for me. Love his Nude as a natural - just the right amount of color, moistness, slight shine, etc.
wonderful.
Another fav is Julie Hewett. Lots of over the top ravs about her here - I'm not quite that in love but a very nice product. Especially film noir. |

Morgen Schick, Rimmel, Sephora and Burts Bees Lip Shimmers (especially Nutmeg). |

I haven't been wearing makeup much, but on the odd occasions that I do I love Julie Hewett lipsticks in Jules and Kiki. As for lipglosses, I haven't found any that I really like yet. |

I'm currently using Sally Hansen's 18 Hour Lip Treatment. It really is very moisturising and I find that I don't have to re-apply it as much as other lip glosses. |

Another vote for Julie Hewett, especially the bijou sheer line, and Vincent Longo's lipstains (which are badly named--they are actually sheer, moisturizing lipsticks). Both feel very nice on the lips, both have lovely colors. |

If you've never tried Loreal's Colour Riche lipsticks, give them a try. I love the texture, and they wear well. My favorite is Aishwarya's Beige (excuse spelling!), and Milla's Plum. I also had a berry color that I lost, and can't remember the name of that was very flattering. They're also inexpensive and there's a ton of colors to choose from. |

Clinique black honey has been around for 40 years at least because I wore it when I was 15.
Still a classic.
forget to mention my new favorite lip and blush stain Morgen Schick on HSN. Great color. |

Morgen Schick - is that a color? I'll have to check it out - thanks Plat Rose. |

Am glad I bought the MAC brand. This is a luscious lipstick that feels great when you glide it onto your lips. It feels good, not too heavy or waxy, but rather creamy and smooth. I purchased the shade called "Plumful". One point however, is that the color doesn't seem to last all that long. I haven't found a lipstick yet that really lasts extraordinarily long and this is a fact with this brand too.

My favorite lip gloss for the moment, is LipFusion lip gloss in Bare, a beautiful, neutral colour. |

Lancome juicy tubes have been working fine for me.
I really like the choice of colors of MAC, but their lipsticks don't last at all! |

Bloom (http://www.bloomcosmetics.com/) has been my favorite for quite some time now. I like that they don't use strong fragrance in their gloss. Too bad that they seem to have discontinued my favorite color, Bordeaux. |

There was only 1 shade that has stuck in my mind for over 30 years. That was Estee Lauder's Maple Sugar Mauve sheer lipstick. I went thru 2 tubes of the stuff. You could put it on over and over and it looked exactly like the color of my lips. Such a great shade. Several years ago I asked about it and they didn't make the color any more. Boo hoo hoo. |

I finally got round to ordering Julie Hewett Film Noir and like it a lot! The colour looks quite dark in the tube, but it’s quite sheer and very wearable.
Also recently acquired Vincent Longo Lipstain lipstick in Madison, also very nice, though more heavily pigmented than I expected for a lipstain. It’s a fairly strong/bright red, so I tend to wear it at night. Nice, moisturising feel to it as well.
I got both of these online, which I rarely do for colour cosmetics as the colour is never right and I end up tossing them, but I’m very happy with these two.
I also got online a Vincent Longo Baby Balm lipstick in Amorosa, which I’m not so keen on. The Amorosa is one of the stronger/deeper colours in the range, but it’s barely visible on my lips. I imagine the lighter shades would be completely invisible, on my lips anyway. |
