Does anyone have any recipes for their favorite do it yourself perfumes? Has anyone ever managed to formulate something close to Angel but naturally? |

I've experimented with pure natural scents (high quality absolues, etc) a lot and I doubt Angel could be done with them (it's pure synthetic...) |

I use a roller bottle, add 1 tsp of fragrance oil and fill up the bottle with fractionated coconut oil.
I'm trying to find you a duplicate scent for Angel. |

Here is the description of the fragrance oil

Angel by Thierry Mugler type
"...and your Angel fragrance oil is the absolute closest to the original I have ever used. Thank you for bringing fine fragrance to artisan body care."
D.C. - New York, NY
We've got more than one fragrance vendor running scared! Our exquisite version of this top-selling, high-end fragrance blends notes of bergamot, mandarin, honey, dewberry, peach, mango, apricot, passionfruit, tropical fruits, sugar almond, meringue, amber, vanilla, caramel, patchouli with a decadent, chocolate-y drydown.
Bottom line: This lovely, sensual oil is absolutely delicious and you don't have to be a Rockefeller to afford it.

perfumerer's alcohol

and a link on how to make your own perfume.

and ordering bottles

and to check out info on the scent

and would I buy the fragrance oil? Yes, but I don't know what Angel smells like. If it was me, I'd buy 1 oz of Angel, and check it out, and if you like it, buy some alcohol to make your own.

I was so inspired by the book Essence and Alchemy about natural perfumes, perfumery and making your own. It doesn't offer many recipes though, it's more of a poetic journey through history, fragrance and alchemists' laboratories.
I don't know about Angel, but here are a few links with blends to make at home:
essential-oil-recipes dot com/aromatherapy-perfume-recipes dot html
make-fragrances dot blogspot dot com
They're simple but beautiful. I'd love to experiment with some more complicated blends though to get my confidence and creativity going. If anyone knows any, let me know too?
Edit: I can't post links yet because I'm new, but I hope the moderators won't mind and that you find the links useful |
