I never ever wear makeup (even though I'm sure that it would be quite helpful). Lately though I purchased Yves Saint Laurent Top Secret Flash Radiance (pretty much a primer) & Teint Majeur foundation. The Top Secret Flash Radiance comes in a tube with an application brush attached to the top. The tint comes in a pot with an application brush. After the Radiance I dot on some colour and blend all over. I must admit that my blush (also purchased form YSL - a powder compact) goes on much better & doesn't look drying & that over all my skin looks good without feeling like I am wearing a mask or making me look crepey(which are my usual complaints).
Pricey but all were good purchases. I figure the pot of foundation will last me 10 to 15 years with my application & usage rate. In that case, then it was all a real bargain! |

Ruth even if a product were to last that long.......i think the normal shelf life for makeup is about 1 year so better use more now then having to throw away a pot of filled up product |

Hi nha_fiz!
Since you have oily skin and live where it is pretty humid, I assume, you might like mineral makeup. You can try samples and pick the right color and formula without too much expense atwww.lumierecosmetics.com. It's a nice website for info about mineral make up too, and they give directions for application.
You click on "face" and you will see an Oriental girl's face; click on her face and then on "trial sizes" . I have used "Veena Velvet" formulation in Light/Medium Golden, for normal to oily skin and like it the best as far as coverage and ease of application. It blends very easily into the skin. I apply it over my sunscreen and buff it in until it becomes one with your skin. Spray lightly with a mineral water, like Avene, to set it. It lasts all day without touch-ups.
They also sell brushes for applying the powder foundation. You can dot additional powder over imperfections and cover that way or buy the separate "concealer" powder, of which there are also samples. They sell eye shadow powders too. It's easy to get carried away with all the lovely colors! Hope this helps! |

I agree with fawnie. Try mineral make up. I also use the Veena Vlevet Lumiere MMU and love it. I used to use cream foundation and hide imperfections with the wand type cream concealer and no matter how much I tried to blend it in, it was always noticeable. But with the MMU, all I do it buff it in, then use a smaller brush and apply more on the spots and it hides any imperfections almost perfectly. Especially as the natural oils in your face blend the MMU into your skin. It used to be that I had to touch up my make up during the day, but now as the day wears on, the better my face looks! No more need for touch ups. |
