My nails are super hard, and when they break it usually involves a large chunk of my nail just snapping off (unlike weaker nails that often tear).
Mpstat had recommended Castor Oil to me for use around my eyes at night, and somehow I just started rubbing it into my cuticles as well.
Within a week, the difference was amazing...my nails were growing like crazy, and they are MUCH more pliable. I did something stupid the other day, and bent one of my fingernails in a manner that would have just snapped it off previously. This time it just bent slightly, and that was it...no crack, no break, no tear.
I have been doing this for a month or so, and the great results are continuing to amaze me. And it is CHEAP! I had previously bought a 1 oz sample from Essentialwholesale.com when I placed another order, but now I am ordering an 8oz bottle from GardenofWisdom.com for only $3.05.
Thanks Mpstat for turning me on to Castor Oil!! |

I also use castor oil on an old mascara brush and it is so great for making lashes stronger. I also brushed it on my eyebrows and it helped them grow back in faster.
But I love rubbing it on my cuticles as it keeps me from gnawing on them! |

I'll have to try the eyelash trick instead of buying more Ardell! |

Thanks for the info. My nails are not that hard but they are very easy to break. I will definitely try castor oil. |
