Well...as if I don't have enough things to absolutely love...along comes Winnie talking about Lauren Hutton and the next thing I know I'm on the website purchasing makeup (only concealer & blush) & the Aqua Press face hydrating system. I can't believe it but I'm hooked on yet another beauty product that I can't live without. The Aqua Press is beyond wonderful. Where does all of that water go - is it magic or is it really all in my newly plumped face. Now after I cleanse with my Eve Lom, Rosa y Fruta, Liz Earle, Yonka Cleansing Cream, Valmont White Falls, La Mer or Sonya Dakar (I still hear Dr H calling me) I rush to use my Lauren Hutton water kit. There is an awful lot to be said about the pressing or patting of products into your skin. What a difference - & I had heard not to tug at my face forever!!! (are you youngsters out there listening???) Wow. After 52 11/12ths years I finally may have it figured out.

Thank you, Winnie!!

where does all of that water go.............. Shock Shock

P.S. The makeup is beautifully packaged & of a very good quality. Smile

Ruth,

I am sooooo happy you like the AquaPress. After one week I LOVE it. I must thank Trish for recommending it to me. Trish and I have kind of bonded with our puffy eye situation.

AquaPress is kind of messy but I love the results. It really plumps up my skin. You have to love Lauren Hutton's natural beauty.

The sponges are so hard to describe. They hold an enormous amount of water that you just firmly press into your skin.

I also purchased Embarassed her Passport to Africa. I madeup my thirty five year old daughter the other day. When her husband walked in from work he kind of smiled (hard to explain the smile Embarassed kind of like I felt it was time for me to leave) and said "you look so pretty." The Face Disc and Passport to Africa is a marvelous concept in applying makeup. "Natural Beauty."

attaching her link because Good Stuff is really hard to describe: http://laurenhutton.com/index.html

Yes Judy, you were out of town. Trish recommended LH highly to me.

Funny, when I was looking at it and after I used it I was thinking about you. Love the AquaPress! The Disc is awesome!!! I know you like mineral makeup for coverage. However, the concealer she has in her disc covers everything. Her video alone was worth the money for me.

If you look at you PM you will noticed I wrote you about this product before you replied to this post. So there, I was not trying to keep any of my beauty secrets from you. Laughing

Glad you are back posting again. I always get so much info from your great knowledge. Smile

Is the LH concealer powdered or liquid? I did use the BE concealer and it was far better than any liquid I'd ever tried. Just never did get around to re-ordering.

Oh forgive me please Winnie for accusing you wrongly. Embarassed I will immediately go to my PM box and find that message! Laughing

I'm glad to be back too. I missed you girls!
Course, now that I'm back, I've decided to go visit Mom next weekend and I think I have another tradeshow to do the last week in October, so I won't be home much. Think I have just about convinced Hubby how badly I need a laptop to take with me on the road!

The concealers are a rich cream (not liquidly at all). The contour products in disc are powders. After you conceal an area with your brush you pat it with powder so it stays all day. I chose YELLOW for my Disc and it matches my complextion perfectly. I have a light olive tone complextion.

By the way Judy, Good Stuff is made for woman over 45. However, I think the young girls would love it.

Can someone describe HOW the AquaPress actually works and when are you supposed to use it? And in what way is it messy? As in, "water dripping everywhere" type of messy?

Mabsy,

It is really messy. The sponges allow you to press water into the skin, giving the skin a plump and hydrated texture, and will reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The sponge hold 14 x its weight in water.

Yes, when you press this sponge against you face water runs out the corner. So, you have to do it over a sink. I do it in the shower or tub. You can not believe how much water this sponge holds. You press the water filled sponge against you face targeting forhead, crows feet, bags, mouth lines.

Mabsy, it really plumps up my skin. They tell you to use it with her AquaPress products. Of course I have them but feel at this point I don't need them.

I am not that great about explaining products Mabsy. If I did not answer your question look at LaurenHutton.com. The website gives a good explaination.

Wow, this is all very intriguing. Can you really see a difference in your skin? And how long does it last? Do you do it just in the morning? I think I'm going to have to get another job..I just want to try everything. Rolling Eyes

Thanks Winnie! Sounds interesting. Before I was almost 100% sure that this was a gimmick. Now I'm thinking that I might give this a go one day just to figure out how it works Laughing I still don't understand on what principle this works. You can't really force water into the skin that I know of. Have you tried frequently spritizing your face with say Evian spray before and, if so, then is this a different result?

Mabsy yes I have done the spritizing. The AquaPress just seems to plump up nicely. I notice it more and more as the days go by. I figure for $10.00 for the sponges how can you go wrong. Funny thing....I emailed them about application of the Disc for under eye bags. They were very honest and said they were hard to conceal. They suggested that I really concentrate on the AquaPress in that area. I do notice a difference. Granted this might be a temporary plumping but I like it.

Guess we are all here to spend money and review products. Wink

Mr Winnie must be very brave.
Mr Loopy would be to scared of waking up with a important part of him missing or a pillow pressing down on his face. If he dared even suggest limiting my access. Infact if we divorced he could have custody of the kiddies I just want the pc. LOL

Winnie, are you serious? Or is he just dumbfounded at all the time you spend on this board? Mr. Nanapost is very curious about all this activity as well but I've been a little secretive about the purchases. When they work and are wonderful, I tell him what great buys they are. Wink Very Happy

Richard and I found each other late in life (only 14 years ago). Now that we're both 60, we think about how fast life goes by. We both wish we'd found each other when we were kids, but we also are not sure that we could have appreciated each other at that time in our lives.... or should I say, we're not sure we could have "put up with each other" when we were less mature.

Now, we understand the value of pampering and showing lots of love to each other every day. We are the best of friends.

We both work in offices in our home so we spend LOTS of time together, but it works for us.

Back to that aquapress Winnie. What kind of water are you using? I'd suggested not using chlorinated tap water. I just think well water or mineral water would be more beneficial.

Hi Judy. I have pure water from a spring down the street. However, I must say I don't bath in it.

Just having fun about Mr. W. We are best friends!!! But, I do have him twisted right around my finger. He thinks I am an Angel after all these years. THAT WHAT HE TELLS ME ANYWAY. Very Happy

I have to say that Richard and I take care of each other pretty well.

Fortunately for me, he is the caretaker type. He keeps my car filled with gas, washes it, makes sure the oil is changed, etc. When I go out of town, he always asks if I need money... and the answer is always YES!

Since we both work from home, I prepare his a full meal for lunch everyday. Our weight management plan is that we eat breakfast and lunch, but just snack at night.

When he's out of town, he calls me every night and we can still talk for 30 minutes about nothing just like best friends.

Life is good!.... except for that darn backscratching thing. Laughing

Any more feedback on Lauren Hutton's AquaPress?

So who got it and what do you think about it? If you got it, did you get a combo deal or just the sponges (asking cause wondering if just the sponges are enough versus getting all the products in a kit).

I have been using Aquapress for about 1 week. I have not given up on it yet, but I am a bit disappointed. I did get the whole kit, with the products. I love the sponge itself and have no problem with the products. I also don't mind the dripping - I do it over the sink after my shower. The problem for me is lack of results - at least so far. I got it to keep my skin hydrated - to prevent any dry and flaky areas throughout the day. This has not helped so far. I am beginning to wonder if water is just running off my face! I know other people liked it in the above reviews, so I'm not sure what the problem is exactly. I will try it for a little longer and see if it seems to get more effective.

Wow...this sounds interesting....couldnt you do it with any type sponge? If your skin is going to take in water/product I cant imagine it would matter where it comes from....Im going to try the technique with my normal facial sponges.

How are the products? I LOVE her face disk and have been wanted to order the tinted moisturizer...may pick up the sponges if you ladies think its worth it....

This thread was dormant from Oct 10 2004 until May 23 2007, that's two and a half years. Anybody from the 04 posts still using this?

Hi Frodo,

I no longer use the AquaPress. I did like it but found that it was messy. One more step in my routine was something I was very willing to give up.

My skin looked very plumped and more youthful after using the AquaPress. The results are only temporary. Nice treatment before wanting to look your best. I just can't be bothered with it. My sponges got worn and I never bothered to order more.

I still use LH's Face Disc (since 04) and love it.

Thanks Winnie for the quick response. I was wondering if it was just temporary. I would like to try the disk thingy tho.
