I'm new here but I love the wealth of information in the forum!
I have a question about retinoids and sunglasses. I have a pretty guide skincare routine due to my cystic acne but I don't know how to add retinoids into my regimen.
During maintenance, I cleanse with Guinot Hydra Tendre and Jan Marini Glycolic wash, moisturize with Guinot Creme Extra Protection, and layer Jan Marini 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. Then Skinceuticals physical sunblock or Jan Marini tinted sunblock.
During acne breakouts, I do everything the same except I use Jan Marini bioclear gel. So basically I exfoliate with acids (salicylic, lactic, and glycolic) and I am afraid that due to my aggressive regimen, I can't use retinoids. Does anyone else have the same problem and what do you do if you use aggressive skincare products?
And, my second issue is sunglasses. That is perhaps my one bad habit. I don't like wearing them, they weigh down on my nose, and slide down because of my flat bridge and oily pores. Plus, they leave marks on my nose.
Does anyone know of a good brand to try? I'm Asian so most sunglasses slide down or the bottom rims hit my cheek because my nose is flat. |

Hi Viking
You can try sunglasses which have movable nose pads ie not the immovable molded plastic nose pads as these sunglasses require that you have a high bridge. From my experience, the ones with adjustable nose pads fit Asians better, they do not slip down your nose that easily but I find that they do leave marks on my nose
Maybe you can go to an optometrist who can help you out. |
