LouLou, I am rather memory-challenged and have trouble remembering which day for which set of exercises.... Is it OK for me to do both sets of exercises (Day 1 and Day 2) on the same day and then skip a day? |
Haha Fawnie! Yes, do them both on the same day by all means |

I've just read the long explanation by Dr.H on the 302 thread re alternating products. As a 302 user it convinced me to cut back my facial brushing to 2, maybe 3 times wk.
Think for me, daily brushing in winter, perhaps any time, is too much. Yes, the daily brushing really feels good, but am now persuaded I should give MGC (my glorious complexion - ) an opportunity to recover from this daily ritual, much as we have learned about everything.
Too much of a good thing can suddenly become a very bad thing. |
Hi Arya, I don't brush my skin every day either, sometimes only once per week, or massage every day. If you overdo it and your skin looks a bit under the weather it's best to leave off for a couple of days to let the skin rebuild itself, but overdoing it won't do any real harm... it's sort of like when your calf muscles really ache, it's uncomfortable but does no lasting damage and your muscle will come out stronger from the work once you rest them |

Hi Fawnie, I think Lou Lou said it was fine to do both sets on the same day. I'm sure it's fine to skip a day.
If it works you can do two days in a row and then skip a day too... I don't think there are rigid rules.
She breaks them out into two separate days so your face doesn't undergo stress and there's the time factor also. I have done both on some days and I've even done Flex Effect the same day as one of Lou Lou's set of five. I'm not real worried about the face stress - unless I have something big coming up. Then I give it a day or two rest beforehand. |
Oh Sis, I didn't see this post! You're absolutely right as usual, and thank you for sharing what works for you according to your priorities, it's very helpful. Yay Sis! |

Loulou we really need a video on you doing a good massage Pretty please!!!!!!
Kassy, I think this video is exactly what we needed to determine intensity of massage. Everyone probably uses their own techniques but knowing the intensity is important. I am more intense and aggressive in my massage. I am curious how everyone else is with their massage. Please take a moment and view the clip Kassy found and let us know if this intensity is about right, less,or more than you use with your massage. Great research Kassy, maybe those of us that need visuals will get figure it out now.

Hi Toby, I think the massage on the vid looks pretty good. You can pinch harder if it's comfortable or just do it like that. I probably pull at my skin a bit more, and don't use oil, but if anyone wanted to do it just as it is on the vid, that'd work well too. ((((((hugs) ) to you |

I watched the video this morning and here are my thoughts. First off I am way more aggressive to my own face than the massage as shown. I do more pinching and in more places (like under the eyes). My skin has definitely thickened up (I've been doing this for seven months). I think the video is a great starting spot. I think Sara Chapman (the woman doing the massage in the video) is likely coming from a facialist's viewpoint and being more gentle than what I have seen prescribed at FE and maybe by LouLou.
That's just my 2Cents... as Toby requested |

Here is the best butt exercise in the world. Sorry I look so scruffy, but I made it a long time ago before I knew any of you would be dropping in!
I'll only keep it up for a couple of days, but if anyone misses this fabulous chance to see me sweating away in my gardening clothes, I can put it up again some time.

Good luck with your surgery, LL.
And with our oracle being temporarily sidelined, I'll open this question to all the Ageless devotees:
I've been at it now for about a month, but the one exercise I'm still not sure of is "Crush". The instructions in the book look different to me from the way LouLou demonstrates it on the video (where she looks like she might be blowing). I'm sure it's just me being dim - so can anyone spell it out for me? Many thanks!
I've been at it now for about a month and have been pretty faithful, even throughout the holiday period when I was less than faithful to my usual body workout. I am very happy with my results (will provide a more detailed review once I've been doing it a bit longer). Thanks for a great programme, LouLou.
Thanks too to Kassy for finding the youtube video demonstrating facial massaging. I too was not sure how hard I should be pinching and it helped to have a visual. |

Hi Grace
'Crush' is the trickiest to master. The technique is to think of squishing something against your back teeth with your cheeks. If you like, you can physically put something there and squish it!
Yeah I can see that the video is a bit misleading... I'm blowing so as to show which muscle you need to use. If you fill your cheeks with air then force it out with your cheeks, that's where you need to be contracting during the exercise. You don't actually need to blow.
And thank you so much for your good wishes |

LouLou, best wishes for a speedy recovery from your surgery - also thank you for humoring us by making the video of your kicking exercises available for all to see. You really are a good sport - maybe I'll try to master doing your facial exercises and leg kicks at the same time Interesting visual Take care and let us know how you're doing . . . Good luck and wishing you a very speedy recovery LouLou. And yes thanks for the butt kickin exercise, I'll check it out when I get home tonight.(At work at the moment)
And thanks to you too Kassy for the great massage vid. I've always been abit afraid of doing face massage, but I'm going to have a go.
LouLou if you get time to see this I'm just wondering if the crush exercise is the one you don't do if you don't want the curve under the cheekbone look? I like a plump looking cheek under the bone for myself. To me it gives the look of youth. Is there an exercise you know of to fill this area?
Thanks. |
