I have been using PSF products for the last week or so and noticed that my skin has become extremely dry, very flaky. Although my skin tone has dramatically improved, I can't seem to figure out what is causing the scaly dry skin. My nose looks like I have a peeling sunburn (minus the redness).
Has anyone had similar experiences with PSF (Pure Skin Formulations) products? Is this a temporary problem?
These are the products that I have been using:
A.M.
Green Tea Cleansing Milk
R&R Toning Mist
Perfecting Day Lotion
H.A. Serum on top of that
PM:
Green Tea Cleansing Milk
R&R Toning Mist
Vitamin C Serum
I have also used the Pumpkin Enzyme Peel and Acne Treatment Mud, but sparingly.
Should I exfoliate more, less? Should I try the aspirin mask? What could be causing the dryness? The only ingredient I thought of possibly might be the Witch Hazel?
My skin is somewhat dry, lots of clogged pores and occasional pimples. I guess that would make it combination?
Thanks everyone. I have no idea what to do. I love the PSF products but can't deal with super dry skin. |

First thing I would try is rearranging the order of some of the products you are using.
For instance, I would put the HA on before the Perfecting Day Lotion. HA can pull moisture from your skin so you want to use the lotion as a "sealant".
To get rid of the flakies - esecially on the nose, I would use a physical way like a microdermabrasion cloth / sponge or Clarisonic or Pretika brush and not a chemical way which could further dry your skin. |
