Hi Judy
Thank you for such a nice letter, I am a rep for Arbonne, and I do love the product. I agree with you when you say direct sales is NOT a rip off. What is a rip off are the products they sell in what I call "the isle of beauty" in the drug stores and supermarkets. Filled with mineral oils they are charging good $$ for lousy product. Direct sale reps are great they will always help you and will go out of there way to find the information the customer is looking for. Thanks again!

While I agree with Judy in most regards. I do believe that you have to pick and chose the direct sale company you decide to do business with. I am trying Judys mask after a lot of great posts on it. I have never tried your product so I can not comment on them.
I have used Mary Kay. I think MaryKay is way over priced and it annoys me that they do not list ingredients on a lot of their products. Like it is a big secret. I like to know what I am putting on my face and paying for.
Supermarkets and drug stores have some very good products. Not everyone can efford department store products or direct sales products. Neutrogena, Nivia, Olay, Loreal make some very good products. I would highly recommend Neutrogena products.
Even though at this point of my life I buy many high end products, I still purchase many items in the drugstore. |

I think in this issue, as with most in life, there is good and bad in both areas discussed - direct sales and in some drugstore aisles and supermarket aisles.
However, I tend to favor the smaller markets. Smaller markets like direct sales companies or some of the producsts sold only in spas (like some of the products sold here on EDS) are dependent on their customers being pleased with the effect of their product since they don't do really big time advertising in the media. What I mean is you don't see ads for Obagi or Dermalogica or Arbonne or Mary Kay, etc. on the TV everytime you turn it on.
On the other hand, huge brands seems to depend more (not totally, but more) on the results of their major advertising.
Like, it's sort of a numbers game. If a company uses a major advertising budget and the ad runs 20 times a day, just the sheer numbers of first-time buyers will pay for the expense of the ad. With products that you buy from an individual consultant or from your esthetician, they depend on it working well for you to buy it again to cover their expenses. It seems to me that they have to depend on quality ingredients and results more.
I really didn't mean to start anything super controversial here. Hope I haven't!

Please Judy don't worry. I just would like to hear about other products other then Arbonne.
I am not against direct sales. After all I am a customer of yours and love all the information you offer us.
As a facialist I am sure Arbonne19 has a lot of advise to give us on other products. |

Arbonne has a enzyme mask that heats up? I remember using it and was quite good.
Arbonne, in your opinion, which product is the "must haves" from the line? Or ones that all your customers rave about? |
