Hands down the best thing that I have ever seen for acne marks and scars is Buzz on Acne. I used to have those red marks on my cheeks (you know the ones!) for six months (I know cause I marked on my calender) and Buzz on Acne is the only acne treatment that I know of that has dealt with those red marks. They say that it is the copper in the BOA that deals with scars. I don't know what it is but my scars are definitely improved. |

I Have these annoying red acne marks, too. I want to do a face peel to hopefully rid them. Do you think that will work? I don't know how deep these scars are. Maybe TCA peel? |

I've found that AHA helps with these marks alot. You could spot treat or use all over. |

There are some interesting tips. I have the same annoying red marks as well! I haven't tried any special treatment yet so I can't comment. Good luck! |

I've been suffering myself with some red post-acne marks, mainly from a huge outbreak last summer that i'm still dealing with!
I've heard good things about buzz on acne but haven't tried it. i like natural things if i can aswell and have had a good amount of success with natural products.
I would recommend firstly incorporating tumeric into your cleansing regime somewhere. I bought a regular tumeric spice jar and add a little bit to my dermalogica clay cleanser. turmeric is widely used in india to lighten skin and i do think it's had an effect on my red scars. You can also buy turmeric cream but i'm not sure of specific brands off-hand
Secondly, exfoliation is important - you want to shed the dead layer of skin off so that the new skin comes up. eventually, skin that isn't scarred will reach the surface. i use dermalogica daily microfoliant every other day or so, then once i week i try to do either Dr Nick lowe cell renewal dermabrasion or a home-made aspiring mask, which has AHA and BHA in it. Don't over-exfoliate though - do what your skin is comfortable with as we're all different.
Thirdly, i have recently discovered tamanu oil which i am just loving. ignore the weird smell, bright colour and syrupy texture! i use it at night-time on clean skin and just literally gently rub it into areas that are scarred - not all over your face as it's a thick oil. The tamanu had a drastic effect immediately, although i have to say that this has slowed up considerably! however, it's still doing the job - i've got a lot of deep red scarring so i'm guessing it'll take some time.
all these things have had a marked improvement on my scarring - when i first started off with just the turmeric, one red scar i'd had over a year seemed to disappear overnight! honestly!! okay, maybe it actually took a few days, but i was looking in the mirror one day thinking "where the heck has that mark gone? Am i looking on the wrong cheek?" i'd only been using the turmeric for about a week or so!
Hope some of that helps - but as ever we're all different, so you may need to try a few things to find something that suits you and works for you.
Good luck - i know how stressful it can be |

Hiya King
I'm not sure how to post links yet and also, as i'm in the UK and not the USA, i wouldn't know where to advise you go. However, i have found a thread entitled "Turmeric Cream" in the Skin Care and Make-Up Forum
[url]http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=2563[url]
That's the thread but i can't turn it into a link, sorry.
However, i just went to my local grocery store and bought a jar of ground turmeric from the spice shelf and add it to my normal cream. At least that way, if it doesn't suit you, you can always use it in your curries instead
Also, if you are into DIY, a forum member called Fox has a homemade version of turmeric cream. You may want to PM her as i can't find the thread now.

Teabags, thanks for sharing. I also read about some rave reviews at the other forum for TUMERIC which is a natural herb that seems to work very well for scars, pimples and breakouts.
I will definitely give it a try as i also suffer from post-acne red marks and scars all over my upper back. |

I've tried most products that are reasonably priced aimed for lightening and fading red marks but so far (2yrs!) I've not found anything to really work.
I've been on Retin-A for a year now and to an extent, that works at controlling my acne but the red marks still remain.
I'm still on the look out for a product to get rid of them and have been eyeing "egyptian magic miracle cream" but I'm still reading reviews for it. However, most reviews have raved at how well it completely removes scars, so maybe you could look into that |

Dear Yeahyeah, egyptian magic miracle cream would not help at all. I think Obagi Nu-derm can help. |
