Are you looking for something to treat the hair loss, the oily scalp, or both? |

I found that J. F. Lazartigue Rebalancing Shampoo for Frequent Use keeps my scalp from getting itchy and oily and fluffs up my fine hair without drying it out.
Ingred: aqua, SLS, coco glucoside, glyceryl oleate, coco betaine, laurdimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolyzed wheat protein, hydrolyzed coraluna officinalis, polyquaternium-10, lactic acid, parfum, tetrasodium edta, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, butylparaben, ethylparaben, isobutylparaben, propylparaben, Cl 42090.
Also, just to be sure, you might want to see a dermatologist to find out if there is a problem that needs to be addressed from a medical standpoint...
Hope this gives you something to go on! |

Sometimes when we brush our hair and see the amount of hair that is left in our hairbrush we start to panic and believe our hair is falling out when really it is probably just going through a normal renewal cycle. However, if you really are noticing a thinning of the hair at the scalp, it is best to consult a doctor as the condition might be a medical one.
There are many, many products out there for hair loss - just do a Google search and have a look. Another product that seems to be getting allot of attention lately is the Leimo Hair Laser which is supposed to promote hair growth:

However I have no experience with this product so can't comment on its effectiveness.
As for oily hair - you might like to try not using shampoo any more. Sounds crazy, I know, but I've been just using conditioner to wash my hair for about the last 8 months and it's working out great. I have very fine, thin and oily hair - just using conditioner instead of shampoo seems to leave it much thicker and it doesn't seem to get as oily so quickly. Also, look for a conditioner that doesn't contain Sodium Laureth Sulphate.
Oil treatments can also be good for oily hair - I think it's because oil cleanses oil. In addition massaging oil into the scalp stops it from over-producing oil if that makes any sense. Good oils to use are olive and castor oil. Castor oil is also supposed to promote hair growth. HTH. |
