Hi Everyone:

I had originally order the Baby Quasar Blue but EDS was out of stock and I really wanted to start a system asap so I ordered the Tanda system.

I have a few questions about the use of Tanda:

- I read the instructions and it says to use Tanda on a clean, dry face. Does this mean I should wash my face as usual, dry it, and use Tanda BEFORE I put on my moisturizer? If we are supposed to use it before moisturizing our face, does anyone find that their face feels really tight while you are using the system for, potentially, 15 -20 minutes before you moisturize your face?

- Does Tanda cause darkening of skin? Will I get a tan from using Tanda?

Thanks for anyone's help!

Hey LL,
I have had a Tanda for almost a year now. Just had it replaced actually due to a faulty red light.
I don't know what your expectations are, but the Tanda certainly won't tan your skin. I have fair skin and I never experienced that. And I do wash my face first before using and afterward I just splash some cold water on my face, let it dry then apply moisturizer. It sinks in better that way...for me anyways. Only area that feels a tad tight after is around my mouth. I have always had chapped, dry lips so it just makes it tight for whatever reason. Easy fix, lip balm.
Hope some of this helps. If you need more info, I'd contact the Tanda reps directly, they are very, very helpful!! Smile

I was just wondering how has the Tanda worked for anyone who has used it? How long did it take to start clearing your acne? Is it worth it? Is there a better system out there?

Hi all,

I've heard that the Tanda works for treating rosacea. Has anyone tried it that has rosacea? If so how were the results?

Thanks. Smile

My sister has/had pretty bad rosacea and after borrowing my Tanda for a couple of weeks, she was so impressed she got her own.
She treats it with the red light. Just make sure you let the treatment head cool down for a few minutes if it gets really hot. Wink

I cleanse and dry my face before using the tanda. I do notice tightness but the treatment shouldn't take more than an hour and I can usually bear it for that long. It's normal. Because Tanda uses LED lights and not UV rays, you will not get a tan from it. Hope this helps Smile

I just wanted to give everyone a bit of an update on my experience with the tanda (both red and blue lights).

I've been using it every day for almost 2 months. I am still a bit on a fence about the tanda. Some background info about my skin: I have mild acne but I'm such a over-analyzer and even a few spots bother me. I'm also a really bad picker as well, so less spots means less picking and overall more even skin tone. I'm not as worried about wrinkles, so I use the red light every other day and use the blue light every day. My problem areas are mostly the lower half of my cheek and into my jaw area. I also get spots on my forehead--which is the worse because I pick until they become terrible scars.

Now onto the tanda...the lower half of my face has been clear for the last week or two but I'm not sure if it's because of the tanda or if it's because my skin's just going through a cycle. Even before starting the tanda, I would have a week or two every month of relatively clear skin. My forehead, on the other hand, is looking terrible; however, I have NOT been using the tanda on my forehead. This is why...I started using the tanda the first week I got it and because I had picked at my spots, I was using the tanda on broken skin. I'm not sure it's because of the tanda, but the broken skin healed to became raised scars that had a very odd and unnatural texture to them, which was just as bad as acne because I had these odd raised areas that looked almost plasticy (not sure if this makes sense). Again, I'm not sure if it was the tanda doing this, but I do know that my picked spots don't usually heal in such odd ways. So...I'm desperately trying to clear up my forehead a bit before using the tanda but I seem to be in a pretty nasty cycle of breakouts, almost healing, then another breakout so I haven't had the chance to use the tanda on my forehead. I do find the lower half of my face is less oily so I'm sure it's helped somewhat with the acne in that area as well.

Anyways, I'll let everyone know how things go for the next few weeks.

I purchased the Tanda system a month ago and am feeling confused about the necessity of the serums which are supposed to be used with the blue or red heads. As I use both heads, I phoned Tanda customer service to inquire as to how I was to use the two different serums as I use the blue light, followed by the red light during the evenings. The directions I received from customer service are as follows:

1. Put on the acne serum and allow to penetrate, then wash off. Use blue light.
2. Put on regenerative serum, allow to penetrate, then wash off. Use red light.

The blue serum is $49 and the red light serum is $75. I could not believe that the serums should be applied then removed. So my next question to Tanda customer service was whether I really needed serums at all to which the customer service representative responded that the serums really didn't improve the effectiveness of the Tanda system.

Has anyone on the forum had any contact with Tanda regarding the same issue? If so, what was their response? I'm also wondering whether other Tanda users see any difference when they use the serums vs. not using?

Thanks!
