The first time that I used Obagi Nu-derm was in 2000, the result was excellent and have recommended lots of friends to try.

then, I have switched to use Cellex-C, Dermalogica and many other.... just to avoid using Retin-A. However, I never find a product as good as Retin-A.

3 years ago, I tried Obagi Nu-derm again, I no longer had the ugly process as much as the first time. The result was not as obvious as the first time.

I am now using Skin Biology, but want to know if anyone is using Obagi-C System and how's the result?

I am using the Obagi C-Rx Clarifying Serum (with 4% HQ) in combination with the Vivite Vibrance, and it is definitely lightening my hyperpigmentation.

I'm not sure anyone needs an entire skin solution just built around Vit C though...it just seems like overkill, and a marketing ploy.

Yeah thats a good point. I think Vit C has a role to play in maintaining good skin, but I dont think its the end all and be all. I like to use vitamin C every 2 days beacuse I know it helps prevent sun damage.

I also use the Obagi C RX serum. I like it, it remains clear for a while which impresses me. If you want to lighten hyperpigmentation its perfect.

I think the Obagi C line is more for younger skin (meaning in the 20's) without pigmentation problems. I think the whole lines gives a great glow to ones skin, which I don't feel the Nu Derm gives, but the C line won't help with wrinkles.

I don't think the Nu-Derm helps with wrinkles too. I have tried applying under my eyes for a while, but did not see any improvement and stopped it.

After totally stop using Obagi, I still keep using retin-A in the evening. It can maintence the result with spending too much!

I use Skin Biology Two Times Tighter in the morning, plus a day cream.

How long is a while? From what I have read, to benefit from Retin A the most, you need nightly use for 1 year before the greatest benefits are seen.

I have the C-rx minus the serum and night cream, meaning that i dont really have anything that would be useful part of the system really, even though I am fond of the exfoliating lotion.

I am a bit iffy on trying the Hydroquone stuff.

I use sunscreen no matter day and night, and so far, I don't see much pigmentation, except a few freckles. (that's why I am considering to order Obagi again) However, after all these years, I believe the strength of Obagi is Retin-A, anyone agree with me?

I believe I tried for at least 6 months. I also tried to just apply Retin-A under my eyes for few months but it did not work. I don't have deep lines, you can only see the lines if I laugh. However, still want to get rid of them.

There are many Retin-A in the market, I wonder are they all the same? Obagi also has a Retin-A, but it's more expensive than the others. I travel very often to Bangkok, and always bought my Retin A there, which is very cheap. I bought from reputable Pharmacy.

Retin A takes 6 months to a year to have an effect. So you need to give it longer than 3 months to work on wrinkles normally. You may see faster results if you use it with Obagi Nu Derm. Maximum benefits of retin A are seen after one year.

Yes there are different types of Retin A. It is not necessary to use the Obagi version, but most dermatologists recomment that you use the CREAM rather than the gel, or the Retin A Micro. There are different opinions on this though. There is also a liquid which I dont know much about.

Also they come in different strengths like 0.01, 0.025. 0.05., 0.1. It really depends on how sensitive your skin is. Sometimes it's trial and error. I started at 0.05 but for some people they need to start weaker. Hope this helps.
