I read somewhere that these two things are great for thickening hair, but it wasn't clear if this was meant to be applied topically during a shampoo, or just taken as a supplment.
Anyone know?
Thanks.

Well, I take Vitamin C 1000mg and MSM 1500 mg by mouth once a day. Some ppl here take much more than that with great results for skin and hair.
I haven't heard of a shampoo with MSM/C, but who knows? It could work. good idea.
BTW, Bio-Sil works on nourishing the hair. Another oral supplement. |

From everything I have read and researched it is to be taken orally to help with the improvement and growth of the hair from the folicle stage onward - helps improve the sulfur somehow, I guess. Topically, it would only coat the shaft but not help with the actual development of the hair. MSM orally is also indicated for nails and skin development. Hopefully someone will chime in about using MSM topically on the hair and the results. |

It is great for hair and nails (and hopefully skin too) but is meant to be taken orally (together.) Never heard of using it topically and would be quite skeptical of it being used that way. |

I have read on other sites of people mixing MSM (sulfur) with a base oil and applying it to their scalp but I think it was for hair growth. |
