I saw a post and now I can't find it. I wanted to know more about it. I use the Epidermx for my skin and I was wondering if this would help my little forehead lines to. It started with an R and had tox a or something like that in it. Can you guys tell me the name of it and if it really works, and where I can get it?
Thnx |

Hi and welcome
You could be thinking of retinox by RoC, but it's nothing like botox. what there is is stuff called agiriline or acetyl hexapeptide (I think that's how it's spelt!) At 10% concentrations this stuff stops the micro muscles beneath the skin contracting and it reduces expression lines. It's flogged as an alternative to botox but it is nowhere near as effective. However it's a lot cheaper ...relaxaline costs $38 and you don't get that scarey look...

...and you get to spend the extra on cool stuff!
Relaxaline, avotox, alphaderma and the rest all have an impact on forhead lines, but it takes a good month to see dramatic effects and if you stop using it...well they come back!

I think you are referring to the Relax-A-Line thread from a little while back. It's very affordable and definitely works. You can buy it at cellularskinrx.com. It is a serum consistency - not a creamy moisturizer - If you need that, you'll have to put moisturizer on top of it. It has worked really well for me, especially on my crows feet and forehead lines. |

Wow, guapagirl, that website is amazing. Its interesting because the other night we were watching something on t.v. and we determined that the actor who sounded like Mickey Rourke really couldn't have been him because he looked so different. Well, surprise surprise, it WAS him! The before and after pictures on the website are incredible and really scarey. Really makes me want to stick with the products you mentioned above. And I figure that as time goes by, the products will get better and less expensive as well. I'm sticking with my little bottles. |

The relax a line looks good, but I don't see before and afters.
Wow, if it really works like you guys say, I would first use epidermx to get rid of the dead layers, use the relax a line to help relax the muscles, and then use Deception to hide the lines instantly.
Can I get a sample of the relax a line.
Does anyone on here sell it? IF so, please send me a PM |

Raydean,
I don't think there are any distributors of the Relaxaline here. The only place you can buy it is on the CellularSkinRx website. You can email them and see if they will send you a sample. |

...also worth pointing out that while skincare distributers do use this forum it's not for flogging their stuff but more for general sharing of information.

Question for people that have used the Relaxaline: I tried Botox and it was awful, so I'm a bit wary of products that are "like" Botox. (Awful was because I had a flu-like reaction to it, and imagine you pulled your eyebrows down to make the wrinkles go away on your forehead... yeah, the skin has to go somewhere!) I'm thinking a slower relaxing process might give the skin a chance to, well, spring back like it does when you loose weight - is that your experience Relaxaline users?
ps. Botox out here in LA is only $99 a syringe, less than a lot of creams! But never again for me! |

$99/syringe!!!!! That's amazing! I, too, cannot handle botox. It made me get the worst headaches I've ever had in my life. Relax-A-line is my lifesaver now for those frown lines and crows feet that I wanted botox to get rid of. It's not nearly as effective but it does relax all those tiny little surface muscles enough for my lines to be much less noticeable. And no headaches! The active ingredient is called Argeriline/Acetyl Hexapeptide 3. Lots of info on the web about it. Good luck! |

socalgirl,
If you do a search, you 'll find lots of info about Relaxaline, Esthers Secret and AlphaDerma CE. They are similar but seem to work effectively with different skin types and ages. You'll find raves about each of them. I would compare what people say about them and then choose which one might be best for you. I'm using the AD CE but its really too soon to really tell how its going. Some days I see absolutely no changes and other days, I think its working wonders. I'll really know once I've been on it a while. Its probably true for each of these that you have to give them time to work. Not all of us are terribly patient, like me. |

Give Epiderx cream a try, if you haven't. I tried it and it seems to work great for my acne scars. I got a free sample fromwww.numeessentials.com. You can email them to get some too, just pay for shipping. |

someone gave me a jar of avotox which is now avotone. I admit I don't use it everyday but with the few times I did try it I think it made my skin nice. It's a little too much to use all over the face I think but across forehead and crow feet seems nice. I think I am going to try it for a good whole month and see what it does. Right now I am in the middle of testing a few Murad products. on another note.. I loved botox. I can't believe when people say they hated it. what's to hate about being line free. If your doc is a good injector you will love the results and you wont end up with droopy eyelids and a frozen face. it's not the product it's your injector making you hate it |
