ive been using jojoba oil (and tazorac) in attempt to help normalize my super-oily skin... but it seems everytime i apply it, it sits on top of my skin and makes my face look shiny like i smeared crisco on it.
ive been applying 2 drops to my dry face after cleansing. |

When I was using jojoba oil daily, I just applied 2 drops to my fingers and rubbed them together then patted my fingers on my skin. It always absorbed very quickly. It never just sat on my face, nor made it appear shiny. What brand are you using? |

It helps to spritz your face with hydrosol and apply the jojoba oil while your skin is still damp. I use only one drop rubbed in my palms and then patted on lightly all over the face. If you don't have hydrosol, then apply the oil while your skin is still damp after using toner. Alternatively, you can add one drop of jojoba oil to hyaluronic acid serum. I use Garden of Wisdom products (www.gardenofwisdom.com). |

Hi! appears that you are using the Oil Cleansing Method. Fight oil with Oil. Try this:
1) Apply a few drops of Jojoba oil in one of your palms and and rub both palms together to warm the oil before smoothing all over your face.
2) Massage the oil well into the skin to remove all traces of impurities like your make up and sebum plus any of your problem areas. This should take about 2 minutes or longer.
3) Next, take a washcloth and dip into clean steamy water and then drape over your face with the wet and steamy hot washcloth. Leave it on to cool down and pat off the excess oil off your face gently.
4) Repeat another 4-5 times until you feel you skin is clear of the oil and impurities.
5) Tone and moisturise as per normal afterwards.
Hope this helps! |

I tried applying it to my damp face and it sunk in perfectly... I misted my face with some vichy thermal water and rubbed in 2 drops and it all sunk in beautifully. Thanks! |
