What's your favorite Vit C Serum (I just spilled my ISC C15)

I didn't close the bottle after using my IS Clinical C-15 Serum this morning. I just realized I spilled my 3/4-full $80 bottle Crying or Very sad

After beating myself up... Brick wall

I know I need to order a new bottle but I did't notice much difference in my skin (not sure if ithis is a fair assessment since i just used 1/4 oz.)
Any suggestions on what C serum you find effective? Please state why you like it. Thanks

I find the Skinmedica C complex more user friendly. It comes in an airless pump so you will never spill it again. The formulation is not watery, it is silicone-based, but there's very good feedback on it from acne prone people and the silicones make it a good make up base. In fact the butylene glycol base of the commercial vit. C serums with watery consistency are more likely to cause problems with acne prone people compared to the silicones in the Skinmedica product.

People with oily skin or dry skin can use the Skinmedica vit. C.

I've tried using it in the morning but can only use it at night because it makes my face super shiny. HTH

ps. You'll have the same spill potential problem with this one. It comes in the usual amber bottle with a pipette type applicator. I've *almost* spilled mine lots of times...

I tried the Skinmedica C complex after all the great reviews and found it so-so. Did not care for the siliconey feel for one but also no real evident results. No glow. I've been very happy with Skinceuticals C & E ferulic. Next go - round I'm going to make my own.

My favorite is still the Skinceuticals C, E, Ferulic. I am trying samples of the Skinmedica C and I personally do like the feel of this, but I prefer the texture of the SC. I tried Obagi 20% and don't care of that. It leaves a film on my face. The SC Phloretin did not do anything for me, and as noted above can be drying.

I am looking at the House of Deming C. It sounds interesting, but I need to do more research. It is called Pure C. Here a link for this product if anyone wants to take a look and given opinions!

Thanks for telling me the ones that you do not like as well. Very helpful. Mabsy, the ISC is not as watery as Cellex C which I used many years ago; it's a little like syrup.

So Skinceuticals seems promising...

Sistersweets, I am not sure I can do a DIY Vit C; It sounds intimidating. I haven't ventured much into the DIY board as it seems to be for advance people.

I made my own C-serum for just pennies and it seems to be working just as well as my SkinCeuticals C+E ferulic....if not BETTER since it is fresher. I was suspect of the C+E ferulic since it was always a yellow color, even when it was "fresh". I thought the yellow color indicated oxidation and, therefore, less potency.

Don't be intimidated, it's as easy as making a cup of coffee! The ascorbic acid and distilled water are all you need for a basic C serum. This above link will give you more info if you are interested.

The Skinceuticals serums are very effective in general (Skinceuticals was actually the first C serum I used and also the first review (if not the first post) I ever wrote on EDS Smile

). I haven't used Skinceuticals for ages but I recall it turning orange very quickly (just like Cellex-C). HTH

Pharmagel makes a good serum called Pharma C Serum that has a 10% concentration. I have used it on and off. One nice thing about it is that it contains no silicone and it isn't as expensive as so many others out there.

I received a generous sample of Vivier's CE Kinerol and have been using it for about three weeks now. My main concern currently is fading red post-acne marks, and it really packed a punch in just one use. It didn't continue like that, but my skin has definitely started to even out thanks to it -- very exciting! The serum is liquid in texture, and it goes on nicely without any oily residue. I haven't tried many other Vit C serums of this strength on a long term basis though... I'm thinking I might have to start making my own serum now based on how much I like Vit C but the prices are a bit steep!

I use PCA pHaze 16 and I really like it. My facialist says it is more stable and won't oxydize and change color becuase it is in a cream base.

That said, I am always curious to try new stuff. Are there other good non-liquid vitamin c products?
