As titled. I have some very very faint fine lines near my eyes. They seem to be fine if I moisturize well but more noticeable when it's dry.

So I'm wondering is Retinol the only way to completly get rid of them or can I just use a hydrating eye cream? Thanks!

Retinol is for long term anti-ageing as well as helping to get rid of the fine lines. Hydrating eye cream is only a temporary fix. But make sure you get a good strength retinol product with percentages stated. Retinaldehyde is even bettter. Avene Eluage cream or gel are good choices (they contain retinaldehyde as well as moisturizing ingredients). Remember to wear sunblock around your eyes too. Physical sunblocks may be better tolerated here rather than chemical blocks which may cause eye irritation.

I think yours is a dry line but not a real wrinkle. Moist eye cream will be helpful

Retinol maybe a bit strong for sensitive eyes. Be careful. VC is good for anti-aging too.

Green Cream is high potency retinol
I found about it on flexeffect forum .It seems that all the "flexers" are using it and I decided to give it a try. Is the best thing I ever did to my skin Smile.I tried before retin A and never worked for me.
I use it in the evening without appling any other moisture .
Unfostunatelly I deleted my first pic before I start using Green cream but maybe I"ll publish a recent one ...Really worked for fine lines and pigmentation ..Oh well I am flexing and using BQ but for me Green Cream was the wow ...
I started slowly with level 6 and after one month of using it on my face and neck I just put it aroud my eyes In the beging I had a little bit of rednes on my face but never had any iritation around my eyes .I am ready now to go to the next level - level 9.

Retinols are one way to go, but alpha hydroxy acids have also been proved to reduce wrinkles and so has vitamin c in a stable formulation. Peptides such as Matrixyl and Matrixyl 3000 have been shown to give similar results to retinol without the irritation, although many people are sceptical of peptides because they are a fairly recent innovation. I can't use either retinols or aha's because they give me broken capillaries, but have had good results reducing fine lines and thickening the skin with matrixyl.

Stardustdy, try brushing your skin very gently and build up until you can do it more firmly. This really will make a difference

Hi LuvToSmile (lovely name). Yes I mean dry brushing the skin on the face, like the rest of the body. I know some people have special techniques for doing it, but I just brush quite randomly.

I'm sorry to hear about your getting laid off... hope it all turns out well for you really soon Smile

That sounds really interesting. Is there an adjustment period for matrixyl like there is with retinol? Should you start with a low percentage and work your way up?
And, since it's a peptide, do some peple have the same adverse reactions to matrixyl that they get from copper peptides (sagging and enlarged pores)?

Peptides are just the name of an extremely large class of biological molecules formed by chains of amino acids. They do all kinds of things in the body and have different effects. So you wouldn't expect similar reactions from peptides like Matrixyl as from copper peptides.
