I tried this once. Never again. The makeup goes everywhere, on your hair, eyebrows, ears, in the air. You still have to smooth it down with your fingers, sponge or a brush. It ends up taking longer to put on by the time you take it off the places where it shouldn't be.

The SK-II Airtouch foundation spray is fabulous. It give a lovely, natural coverage, is simple to use and doesn't mess up your clothes, hair or eyebrows. (Something to do with ionic charging of the particles so they only adhere to moist surfaces like skin.)

I was asking around for a wedding makeup artist and kinda was interested in airbrush since I always hear about flawless coverage. Everyone I talked to so far shoots me down and tells me it's not good for wedding day so much because of the high alcohol content of the airbrushed foundations and how it will dry out skin over the course of the whole day and look bad in photographs. I don't know how much this is true, but just something to think about. I was also told you have to rub it in anyways, and many MA airbrush onto a cos wedge and then apply which weirded me out...seems to defeat the purpose to me.

Don't know about that, Mex, but if it's for your own wedding: splurge and get the SK-II Airtouch! You'll look great for the wedding and the honeymoon too!

And you don't have to rub the SK-II in. You just spray and leave to dry. Simple.

Dior do an airbrush foundation that you just spray on. I quite like the results, but my sister wasn't so keen so I guess its a matter of opinion.

You guys who have this SK-II:

1) How long does a canister of the foundation last???
2) Can the batteries in the sprayer be replaced if they run out?

I don't mind spending Serious Bank if it works and looks out of this world, but if the sprayer is chintzy and the canister doesn't last at least 3 months - fuggedabowdit!

The sachets come in a pack of 2, and how long they last depends on how often you use them. I was told that, used once daily, they should last up to 3 months. I use mine approximately 3 times a week and each one lasts me for several months.

The battery is replaceable. The SA told me that each one should last approx 1 year. Mine lasts me longer than that, probably due to using it only 3 times a week or so.
