Hi everybody!
I'm really in need of some help skin care wise:
I have combination skin, oily t-zone with blackheads/congestion, normal cheeks with the occasional flaky patch but also redness and small red spots on the very tops of the cheeks which come and go. Also there are huge pores on my cheeks and nose and the occasional break out around that time of the month. However at the moment I have a few small breakouts pretty much all over and my face is rather red. I look a mess and really just want to sort it out and start from scratch. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! |

It sounds like your skin is rather unbalanced. I would use something for sensitive skin before I treat it for acne. That's what I did with mine and it's quite good at the moment. I can't say that my pores are very big but they are a little enlarged. I'm not too worried about it though.
I used Sothys Immuniscience line for 6 months and that has really balanced my skin, no flakiness, no red spots, no itching... I have to say though that my skin is quite oily with acne problems and this has not made me break out more at all. Now I use Sothys purifying range and it's not a miracle product but my skin has not looked better wit anything else I've used.
Good luck! |

Thanks! I'm in the UK and the Sothy's rnage isn't that easy to get over here, but I am going to take your advice and try to take a more sensitive approach to my skin. My mother and grandmother both have rosacea so I'm now thinking that it might be a touch of that. Going to try some of my mum's skin care and see if that helps! |

Give it a try and see, you've got nothing to lose. My skin was so horribly imbalanced and I went to see my doctor who treated me for esczma for 2 years. I'm so angry at him. Then when I graduated uni and started working I could finally afford my first facial and whola I only had imbalanced skin and Sothys has fixed that so well for me thank God.
I hope it works for you if you can get it somewhere.
Definitely stay away from anything harsh, that will make it only worse. Some of the very expensive products are too harsh for the skin too and please just dont even think of trying Proactive - that has made my skin a loooooooot worse. |

hi, im 20, try paula's choice beta hydroxy acid gel its had really good reviews on other posts especially acne websites. Ive had major acne on the face and happy to say touch wood rarely get breakouts still get some on me back but dependin how old u r i wud recommend gettin chemical peels especially BHA ones beta hydroxy acids since they work on the upper epidremis of the skin you might also hear about the AHA alpha hydroxy acid peels which work deeper but i would start at low conc especially if u got sensitive skin. Trust me you me boggled out with many people recommending you diff stuff, im from uk and usually stick with recommendation within uk since its easier to get hold of the items but rem diet and stress also contributes to acne, as silly as it sounds try not to worry too much about it. I also recommend drinkin chinese herbal teas or visit a chinese herbal shop and ask for advice if your happy with the advice from ur gp, why? notice not many spotty chinese people? |

Yes but if she's got such a sensitive skin like her mother and grandmother and maybe suffer from rosccea the last thing she needs is acid peels on her skin.
I agree about the chinese herbs, I'm on them to balance my hormones and they're quite good although they do take quite a bit to work. |

For my hormones only about a month, I can't see any difference yet. They are really slow. When I had h pylori in my stomach it took 1 year to clear it out. It's long, but worth it. The doctors have told me that you can't get rid of it and were feeding me with 20 antibiotics a day which made me as sick as a dog. I don't trust the modern medicine that much. |

Try cucumber cleansing cream from GNC. It worked wonders to calm down the redness in my cheeks. |
