Which is more important to you?

Nice packaging and paying a higher price due to it.

OR

Cheaper looking packaging, good product, lower price?

I think MAC got lucky with medium priced items and good packaging vs Stila who has cute packaging but $$$$ prices.

I'll take cheaper looking packaging anytime. If the product is great, I just assume (rightly or wrongly! that my $$ is paying for the product, not the package. My friend just recently bought a blush in a beautiful compact(it may have been Guerlain) for $150. Rolling Eyes There are sooo many other things that would be worth $150 to me.FWTW Razz

M.A.C.: Not-so-cheap anymore. They were a lot more reasonable before Lauder bought the company. Trust me on that, as I've used their products since about 1990.

I couldn't care less, so as long as whatever inside did what I bought it for.

I like Tall, streamlined bottles, and I love having a few products from the same brand lined up in my bathroom. It just looks nice.

That said, I like PTR's simple, stand up bottle packaging with simple color. Very nice.
I also like Clarins men's line...blue and silver...although the products are terrible, the blue & silver rock.

I especially like Emporio Armani for him. That cologne's packaging is great. (And I love the scent too, lol)
