I'm thinking about going on vacation with my boyfriend, and we were thinking about going to Cuba. I've never been there before, so just wondering where in Cuba seems to be the nicest and most popular destination for tourists? Also what time of year would be the best to go? I don't want to be stuck there while it's hurricane season |

You can stay either in Havana, which is basically the city, or you can stay in Varadero. Varadero is by the beach and there are hotels/resorts that line the entire coastline (well, almost).
We honeymooned in Varadero and looooved it. We went in February, and it was fine. We took a touring day trip to Havanna. I think there's even the option to stay overnight in Havanna as part of the tour.
I much preferred Varadero to Havanna as it was soo...relaxing. The beaches are BEAUTIFUL and the water very warm.
Check with a travel agency about the best time to go. We booked our honeymoon on short notice so we got a really great deal on it. They would be able to help you out and give you information. Also, if you go in and speak with them, you can brochures on the available resorts and take your pick
Good luck and have fun...I'm so envious!! |

Go to tripadvisor and click on the Cuba forum. You'll find tons of information there about Cuba. |

Hurricaine season runs from June 1st through November 30th, with the worst part being from August through October for South Florida + Cuba. |
