I'm currently using the SkinCeuticals CE and Ferlic serum and have decided to add the Remergent .4% Retinol cream at night time to my regime. ( I was going to use the SkinCeuticals one but I forgot that I had $50 to EDS!!). I just wanted to know if it would be okay to use the serum first and then put the retinol on or should I just use the serum in the morning and the retinol at night by itself? I just want to make sure that I don't make one less effective by combining them. Thanks! |

I would use the C, E, Ferulic in the morning, and use the Remergent Retinol at night. That is usually how it works. |

Ditto. CE Ferrulic in the morning and retinol at night. That's the optimal combination. The CE Ferrulic in the morning also gives you added sun protection. Not replacing your sunblock, of course, but boosting it's effect. And remember the sunblock too. |

Thanks so much for your replies! That is what I thought but I just wanted to make sure and don't worry, I won't forget the sunscreen! Can't wait to write a review of the SkinCeuticals,it's fantastic! |

Sorry, one more thing! I plan on using Clinique Superdefence as a moisturizer when I start the Retinol only because they have a formula that is oil free and that is rare with an SPF 25 and I need one that absorbs completely because I use a mineral powder and it just doesn't look right if my skin is tacky. Do you think this protection is enough for just a day to day protection? |

That's really a personal choice, jenw. My personal opinion is that if you are not out in the sun, and you work inside, SPF25 is fine. |
