This is a drugstore product that is part of the Olay line designed to reduce age spots and pigmentation. What caught my eye was that it contains niacinamide and glucosamine, which I have been interested in trying, but in formulations that are quite a bit more expensive. Since both are listed within the first several ingredients, I figured that there might be enough of the active ingredients to warrant a try. And with us down to one income in the household, this kind of economizing is particularly attractive.

I've now used most of a jar. Texture-wise, it is pleasant and very light; it goes on smoothly and seems to vanish, probably due to the silicones in the formula. It is highly fragranced, which in my opinion is not a good thing, and unlike some other Olay products, there is not alternative non-fragranced version.
Has it reduced my age spots and pigmentation problems? Maybe, but I also use vitamin C, retinaldehyde, and my LED, so it's hard to say. What I can attest to is that it balls up under makeup--both powder and liquid foundation are equally affected.

So, if you wear foundation, you'll need to look elsewhere. But if you don't and if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive product with niacinamide and glucosamine and you are okay with silicones, it may be worth a try.

I like trying drugstore products, so thank you for posting about this. I will certainly give it a try and pick this up on my next trip to CVS.

You have to take this with a grain of salt because I only tried this one time. The reason I only tried it one time is that I hated the experience so much that I couldn't bring myself to try it again. Here are my main problems with this item as they appeared:
1) texture: thin and gel-like, not creamy (unpleasant sensually)
2) Smell: Overwhelmingly strong and, again, unpleasant scent (I almost washed it off my face to get away from the smell
3) effec: Woke up with a sensation of tightness in my skin. My skin is more or less normal so this is very unusual for me (even if I wear nothing, I wake up feeling fine).

I was wondering about this product due to the intense advertising on TV. Now I don't have to try it.

Definitely not an oily feel. More of a cross between a gel and a cream. Not unpleasant but not particularly good either. Too much scent for me, too.

However, having said this, it is reasonably priced for the ingredients and percentages of them that it contains. If money is no object, then I would go with the NIA 24 product line for niacinamide. But, for about a quarter of the price, this product is worth a consideration. Especially if silicones aren't a problem for you, since this product is loaded with them.
