This is a light hand creme with a strong herbal smell. Luckily the smell fades in a few minutes. It sinks in to the skin quickly and don't leave any greasy film. My hands feel soft and smooth after application, but not oily.
This is not a very rich hand creme, so if you have very dry hands stay away. If you just want a light hand creme, this is perfect...as long as you don't mind the smell  |

| I just purchased my first tube of Dr Hauschka hand cream yesterday. I agree about the herbal smell, although I don't find it too offensive, and the scent does dissipate rather quickly. I've used this product on these little rough patches I have on my elbows and I've also tried it on my knees, and I am very pleased with the results. To be fair, I haven't moisturized these areas in quite some time, but I have noticed dramatic improvement after just one day! |

| The herbal smell of this product doesn't bother me at all. It is a good hand cream with smooth consistency but I found it didn't keep my hands moisturized for very long. Not oily and serves its purpose if you have slightly dry to normal skin. Keep in mind that my hands crack on a normal basis though. I'm still looking for that HG hand cream....! |

| Freckles- Have you tried Jurlique Rose Hand Cream or Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream? Both have been pretty good for me. |

Hi Mabsy!
Yes to the Norwegian Hand Cream, it was good but my hands still cracked open... I have terrible terrible eczema on my hands, specifically my knuckles.. I'm 24 but my hands look like they belong to a 80 year old... I'm not kidding although I wish I were. I haven't tried the Jurlique though. I've made an observation about this company. They have quite a few stores out there but there doesn't seem to be anyone in them whenever I pass by! Is it me or has anyone else noticed this?
I am looking for something that will calm my inflammations... and soothe my scaly dry skin. Thanks for the suggestions. |

Freckles - The Jurlique counters in Australia seem to have people at them but I guess they're not super busy. I have heard many recommendations for them on another forum though (an Aus one) so I think they're doing ok.
The only other thing that comes to mind would be the Mario Badescu Healing Cream. Thoughtcrime has had good experiences with it in terms of healing skin conditions so you might want to perhaps chat to her about it. |

nothing I hate more than a hand cream that leaves an oily film this is why I like the Dr. Hauschka, I like the fresh herbal smell, to me it makes it seem medicinal and clean. It sinks in within seconds. I get eczema on my hands so have to be a little careful over what irritates the skin, this is a nice soothing yet rich enough product. I had it as a sample in my last EDS order and it's one to get at full size.
Freckles have you tried the L'Occitane or Liz Earle hand creams? These are much richer/heavier and I use these if I've been outside and my hands are really dry and horrible. |

Hi Eve,
I've tried the L'Occtaine one.. it was extremely rich and my skin felt very greasy afterwards (although it did help with my cracking knuckles) so what I did was purchase the tin of pure shea butter and slather it on every nite. By morning, my skin has absorbed most of the shea.
Hmm.. not the Liz Earle one though. Can I get this from Sephora? |

can I ask how people apply their hand cream? I saw some beauty woman on tv just rub the backs of her hands - so you don't get greasy palms
Freckles - Don't think they have it as Sephora but here's the website. Have you ever tried getting evening primrose oil and putting that on your skin at night?
