Can you use this foundation while you are on retin a with your skin care?
Can you please share your experience with this liquid mineral foundation?
Where can you get this product in Toronto?
Thanks for the feeback. |

Initially I got some samples and was so blown away that I ordered the full size foundation in Portofino Porcelain in the Extra Coverage finish.
I apply it with the application pad that you can also purchase.
You have to be careful not to use too much, its quite thick - a little goes a long way. I've found that it truly gives a flawless finish - more so than powdered minerals. I also love that it has SPF 21.
There's not a huge range of colours, but that's not a bad thing in that it makes it less confusing!
I'd recommend getting samples before splurging on a full size tube.
HTH! |

I also like it and use for special occasions. I also like the blush quite a bit. The eye shadows are lovely, but my very sensitive eyes react to them, unfortunately. |

I LOVE it. I also use the portofino porcelain in the fantastic finish which is more for the Dewey look. I only wish that they had a few more colors because sometimes I think this color can be a little too light and the one up is a little too dark and I am too lazy to mix them. |

Thanks for the replies.
I went to look at makeupalley, dersmstore and the Illuminare website and saw all the raves of this product. I am really looking for a liquid mineral foundation but doesn't know where to get it in Toronto. Or if ED will carry it.
I saw they have like introductory samples of 9 packs for 10 bucks. I have never ordered on any website aside from Ed's.
It also says that it is perfectly fine to use with retina a , glycolic acid, vitamin c serum. |

The coverage is great and super long lasting. But I always had difficulty applying it because its so thick. |

Add my rave! I love Fantastic Finish in Portofino Porcelain. My skin is normal/dry with large pores and gets oily in the T zone in the summer. I have some fine lines. I used this over my sunscreen and blended well (it is kind of thick and tricky to blend) and it stays on all day! Gives a nice satin finish. I bought it from the website. |

I haven't tried this, but I hopped on their website to obtain the list of ingredients (I'm an ingredient information junkie)Other than the zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and iron oxides, the ingredients don't resemble other liquid minerals I've seen. Is this really mineral makeup, or conventional makeup labeling itself as mineral makeup?
Now that I think of it, how DO you define mineral makeup?

I tried this 8 months ago. There is a limitation for colors and I am just too dark for this line. It had lasting power though, however, I could feel the "heaviness" of it compared to a powder mineral makeup. And unfortunately, I started to break out in little bumps after 2 weeks of using. I do occationally use the concealer under my eyes when I have dark circles to hide. It lasts forever, even with my oily skin. |

Whew! If you look up some of the ingredients like Benzalkonium Chloride, it sounds kinda scary what's in it. Would like to know an answer to your question as well. |

Great question. I have never used mineral make-up and would love to know the answer to this! (And, I guess I will be holding off getting samples of this line until someone can answer it!) |
