Im really upset. I got a clarisonic for christmas and was using the cleanser samples that came with it, and not soon after I started recieving my first proper compliments about how nice my skin looked. Its all gone a bit wrong now, because I got a bit carried away and decided I was really going to go out of my way to be really good to my skin. So I bought NaturDerms lavender face foam because I've been using their moisturiser and really enjoying it and was really impressed that there were no nasties in it and it seemed to be bursting with only lovely stuff. I thought it was going to be really good.
Just my luck that I seem to have taken a really horrible reaction to it. I started using it on Friday and by Monday night I noticed that at the side of my mouth and going onto my cheecks I had lots of little red marks. When I woke up Tuesday morning all my chin and round my mouth was red and I had Millions of raised blocked pores. On top of this all of my skin just seemed a bit crinkly. The redness and horrible bumps have now began to fade, but im getting loads of I dont know it they're big white heads or really small spots, but theyre not something I used to get before and my skin is definately still crinkly looking and still not feeling right.
As soon as I noticed what was happening I went straight back to using what I was before but Im still not right. Has this happened to anyone else? And does anyone have any ideas about what could have caused it and how to calm it all down??????? Any help would be really appreciated! |

If you've had a bad reaction to something, the first response should be, give your skin a rest and chance to heal itself. I'd take a week or so off from everything (except sunscreen) and, if you feel you have to, use something soothing like emu oil. But time and rest is likely the key to recovery. I wouldn't use the Clarisonic for a few days till there's no more inflammation or irritation. Then slowly and gently add back your normal skincare.
If you search around here, you'll find loads of stories like this, only with different products. It's amazing how we as individuals can be ultra-sensitive to something that is no problem at all for others.
Good luck |

Sorry to hear that. Its hard to say whether its the lavender cleanser or the Clarisonic. I know you have to be cautious with lavender products and the Clarisonic is a motorized cleanser apparatus..maybe too much for your skin. I would go off both products for now and use a GENTLE cleanser for now until your skin goes back to normal. |
