....wear black dresses too?

As titled. It seems for many restaurants, the waitresses there are dressed in black tops or black little dresses. So would I look like a waitress too if I chose to dress in a black little dress? Would u ladies avoid wearing black just for that purpose? Confused

Nope...I just wear better jewelry than they do.

I would wear whatever I like. As long as you feel good, you don't even need to think about how the other people think of you. Relax, just to be yourself.

Why would someone mistake you for a waitress if you are seated at a table with someone?

Maybe if she's on her way to the bathroom.

the jewelry comment is too funny! since these girls are working, i'm sure their dresses wont be as short, cute, sexy, etc... you wont have a problem outshining them and black is so classic i'm sure no one will notice at a restaurant.

this reminds me of a time my DH wore a black button down with black slacks for some meeting we went to together and i convinced him to stop by the MAC store with me. he must have had 3 different women ask him for help thinking he worked there!
