My hand got bitten by a bug a month ago, I can't see what kind of bug it is because it flied away immediately. I did not feel pain or itchy after biting, it started with red spots within an hour, then spread to my wrist and fingers. The red spots turned to bright red, then purplish the next day. I went to see a doctor the next day, he can't tell what it is but surely allergy to 'something' and not much I can do, just to wait until it fade. It has been a month, the spots have turned to brown, it seems they are fading but I suspect if I am doing nothing, it will takes 6 months+ to recover. It looks like old age brown spots.
My hand is very weird looking, and people keep asking me what has happened and I have to repeat the same story a thousand times.
I wonder if fading gel or cream can help? |

fading creams will help , just try to protect you skin from the sun as much as possible by wearing sunscreen 24/7 or even better gloves , when I get these marks nothing fades them except hydroquinone and time |

I know it's different, but I had, (have) a burn mark that is dark on my hand. I've been using Retin A, hydroquinone and chemical peels to fade it. Most of the dark marks are gone and I feel much less self conscious about it. I'm going to try a TCA peel to see if I can get rid of the rest of it. Hope that helps and good luck. |

Thank you everyone, I will try to use some fading cream today. I was thinking that those brown spots are toxin from the bug, which is 'inside' my skin, not a scar or freckles those type of sun-damaged sun.
It looks quite horrible, and really will scare people away. |

Hi Dear,
Try rubbing some lemon juice on your brown spots only and wash off after 15 mins. Do this for at least a month to see result. The lemon juice is a natural bleach and helps fade scars and spots.

There's nothing could help you with the brown spots on the hand, since this phenomenon could be happened to anyone, just like the wrinkles.
Maybe you should try some vitamins to balance your health. |

flyflyonly,
I think you have not read my original post, the brown spots are not from aging, they are from the bug bite. 70% of them are fading. |

Sorry, flyfly, even if this topic was about brown spots from aging (which it is not, she got these spots from bug bites), there is plenty you can do for them. Retin A, hydroquinone, AHA, etc, etc. All of these things will, in time, fade some of the spots. |

The brown spots on the finger & hand are 90% faded, still have some on my wrist but color has turned to very light brown. I have used BQ few times a week, I believe it won't help in fading but help for aging hands. |
