I love the movies and since I've become obsessed with my skin and turning back the clock lately, I love checking out celeb's skin on tv... esp those of a certain age & guessing what they are or aren't doing and how they're holding up... A sad little pastime, I admit, but it does amuse me.
Add to that the wonderful inventions of hdtv, dvr for pausing to study close ups & instant replays and the fact it's been pouring rain for 2 days straight - well let's just say I'm looking forward to checking out the red carpet tonight!
Anyone else

we must not live too far from each other, LOL! It was rainy and sleety yesterday, and yes, I did watch most of it...and like you, I agree that HDTV is wonderful for checking out the celebs up close and personal.
I was really surprised at how close and cozy the Kodak theater was. Those folks in the first few rows were like RIGHT THERE. Very cool to see the interaction of the ladies on stage with the nominees seated during the Best Supporting Actress category. |

i missed it because i was studying. i was happy to read sean penn won for milk... i thought he was fantastic in that movie.
i also adore kate winslet. i like how she's open about being comfortable in her body, she's a good role model.
so who do you think looked the best and who's aging the worst? i'm dying to know since i've only seen small pics on my computer! |

Gawd, it seems like the only ones who were aging were the past nominees! Except Goldie Hawn, of course...she always looks so adorable, she makes me smile right back at her through the TV!
Angelina was gorgeous as usual, but I think Brad looks goofy (and way too old) with that mustache. At the beginning of the show, when Hugh Jackman was connecting with the folks in the front row, he had something nice to say about everyone he stopped to talk to. Then he got to Brangelina, and said "I really don't have anything to say, but I'm obligated to mention you five times during the show. There's one"! They laughed, but I kinda thought that was an odd way to treat them.
Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer looked cute together.
And Hugh Jackman! So hunky and goofy at the same time, so full of energy! |
