When I moved from NJ to Texas, my face became like a flower bed for acnes. It just never stopped, one after another. I even tried not to use any lotion, still didn't work. Finally, I found M.D. Forte Facial Cleanser II and DDF clay mask, and my acne problem got under control. But, if I use M.D. Forte Facial Cream the night before, then for sure, I would find some "red head" the next morning. I guess the cream is too rich for the hot and humid weather. What's your experience with MD Forte's product line? |

I haven't tried the MD Forte line (I've stuck to MD Formulations so far) but I guess it does sound like the cream is too rich for you. Try going for something lighter instead. MD Formulations has a nice Antioxidant serum but I'm not sure if MD Forte has an alternative to that, I'm not too familar with that line. Also, if you're not too loyal to any particular brand then I would suggest Dermalogica Medicated Clearing Gel at night and, if you have oily skin, Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion during the day (it's got BHAs in it from memory). |

I love the cleanser, and the lotion, but could not use the cream at all on my face. It too broke me out, so I ended up using it on my hands. I use the Md forte lotion 11 on alternate nights and find it helps keep pimples at bay. |

Sounds like the cream is too rich for you. Why don't you use a lotion formulation? Another popular, effective product to consider: Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion ACNE. |

I dont usually have the breakouts until I moved to Texas. My skin was normal/combo type, but it became more like an oily type after moving to the south. I found a way to control it - good cleanser and mask, and not using rich cream.
Mabsy - I am not stuck with any particular brands, just have had some good experiences with MD Forte. I used the cleanser from MD Forte and MD Formulations, they both have 15% glycolic acid, and I found MD Forte is more effective. It leaves my skin a softer and nicer feeling after use. |

Any time you CHANGE your skin care routine, for sure you'll get reactions. OR, maybe this isn't the skin care line for you.
Here is some information thats universal for everyone's skin type who have acne. You must to use a beta hydroxy acid (BHA). BHAs CLEAN out your pores. Over that, a light layer of a blemish fighter to DISINFECT the area of breakout. You should see results in about 2 weeks if you use the BHA ONCE a day, the blemish fighter twice daily. Consistency is the key otherwise it won't work. |
