Hello lovelies!
As I like my cross referencing. I check out MUA's Top Picks when I'm looking to try a new product. Sometimes I'm happy (like with Merle Norman's Luxiva cleanser) and sometimes I'm quite unhappy (Nuxe creme nirvanesque light- broke me out like a mother!!), and sometimes I can't tell if it's doing a darn thing (Aubrey Organics Vegecol toner)
Lately my MUA inspired desired items are:
Pangaea mask
MD Forte glycolic cleanser
So...
What products have you found well rec'd on MUA that you love love love. And which do you meh or throw in the trash bucket??
I hope this is a good topic! C'est mon premier. |

Some of my tops picks that are also MUA faves:
Clarisonic brush (80% would buy again at MUA): possibly my best skincare purchase EVER
MD Skincare Alpha Beta skin peel (81% would buy again): expensive, but so worth it. I saw results (less acne, smoother, brighter skin) in just one application!
Dermadoctor Wrinkle Revenge Glycolic Cleanser (75% would buy again): smooths skin and fights acne without overdrying.
Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (81%): Surprisingly effective for how gentle it is. Great for adult acne.
Naturderm - EpidermxII (81%): Definitely my HG scrub. I've been using it for years and am still as happy as ever. |

Great choices. Have you tried them all?
What exactly does the Clarisonic brush do for you? Does it mainly exfoliate? |

aha! Manslayerliz maybe you can answer my question. Do you use your glycolic cleanser with your clarisonic? I was asking around on the board earlier... And your choices sound great btw, I wouldn't be surpised if we had similar skin. I'll have to follow your recs more closely. |

Bira-- yup, I use em all and love em! The Clarisonic brush exfoliates, but it also does any incredible job of cleaning your pores out. It's really a fabulous invention!
Callalily-- Yes, I use the glycolic cleanser with the clarisonic. It's nice because the Clarisonic really gets that sweet glycolic acid into my pores, which means I'm really getting my money's worth out of my cleanser.^-^ |

I don't know how much money I wasted before finding MUA!!! The products I've recently bought because of raves on MUA include:
MD Forte Skin Rejuvenation Eye - it smooths the undereye area, including crow's feet. Very strong product, but it works so well I am now using it under my IS Clinical as a spot treatment for any wrinkle. Note: this is a treatment, not an everyday eye cream. Use sparingly.
Tarte Recreate Anti-Aging Foundation - wanted a change from MMU and my beloved Chanel VitaLumiere. This is a great alternative. Natural, buildable finish, as well as NO parabens.
Dr. Denese Neck Saver Serum and Triple Strength Neck Wrinkle Smoother. These are amazing! They work and make your neck smooth and line-free. |

The products I have discovered are:
Clarisonic - I love this and will never be without!
IS Clinical Active Serum - This is great for keep break outs at bay.
Skinceuticals Intense Line Defense Serum - I use this with the Active Serum and for some reason they work better together and actually help get rid of fine lines around the mouth. I don't have any other lines so I can't testify to other parts of the face, but I'd imagine it would do the same. |

Euggh I just bought Christian Dior Cleansing Gel (in the pink bottle) rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10 reviewers. So far I have these red bumps and my face looks worse than it has in a while. Boo hiss!
I paid $30 dollars for this nonsense. I think I might try to swap it but I feel disappointed. I think I have to put less trust in MUA and listen to EDS'ers instead. There is more of a checks and balances system on this site. Someone will say this is great and then someone else will pipe up and say nahh it didnt work for me.
Anyways, I'll probably go back to Merle Norman Luxiva (pink bottle) cleanser or try to locate some MD Forte.
Ohhh tribulations. |

kdd2411, do you mix them together and then apply them? How long did this combo take to get rid of your lines around the mouth? |

The best products I have tried due to MUA reviews are jojoba oil,Finacea, MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow and Nuxe moisturizers. I love looking through that site and seeing what has the most reviews and the highest percentage of would purchase again. I don't find the Top Products area to be that helpful, because even though the product will have 100% repurchase rating there are only a handful of reviews. |

I love doing this too. I love sleuthing around and feeling prepared when I go into shops. How do you conduct your searches if you don't like the Top Picks? Do you just browse by brand?
Which Nuxe do you use? I bought Nirvanesque and I felt like it was breaking me out but the weather was so harsh then. I'll test it on my forehead where I hardly ever break out. |

You know what I don't get about MUA? It's selecting Top Picks for Face - Skin Care and it would list everything, including make-up. I don't get it. How do you specifically ask MUA to pull all Top Pick skin care? Or Body Care? |

I put the active serum on first then apply the line defense. |

No problem, let me know how it works out for you. I notice a difference after doing this 2 or 3 days in a row. The problem is that when you stop, so do the results since these lines are hard to get rid of. |
