I am a beauty therapist and soon to start my own business. I have used both decleor and dermalogica in the past and am struggling to decide which brand to stock in my salon.
Please can you give your opinion as to what product range you prefer and why and also which facial and which product in particular is your favourite from either range.
Thank you so much in advance for any help and advice you can give me!

i am a decleor freak so i will be very biased. honestly i've done both facials..
do you know why i pay so much for a facial other than to look good?
to enjoy, to relax, to destress. and dermalogica doesnt give me that feeling. It's just another brand out there.
decleor products and their scents are really amazing, given its aromatheraphy effect, im sure many clients will appreciate that esp when they are paying a lot for a facial/spa. decleor products always relaxes me after a long day at school and work, and i always look forward to it at night.
for me, my favourite is the neroli oil and the essentiel balm, but i like to mix and play around with the oils according to my mood.
ive used the only professional products of Decleor which are not avail in the market, and i absolutely adore it too.. |

and do u have any tips for decleor fans there that u have learnt during your training?
have u heard of this cleansing product which is only available in salon called "reflet de purete"?
I bought it but i am not sure if we are supposed to use it on a clean face? but i really love that cleanser! |

my spa will be in the carlton hotel in edinburgh, scotland. very excited!
the decleor training was so fantastic, they just threw information at me all week and then we got to give and receive a facial at the end of each day! i am doing the decleor body course on 20th april so thats all their massages and body wraps. cant wait!
the aroma purete range is fantastic, their matt finish silk fluid is a brilliant moisturiser for oily skin and really does give a matt finish that lasts all day.
i cant find anything on the reflet de purete cleanser in my textbooks or online but i will certainly ask about it on my course.
have you tried the phytopeal exfoliant? its wonderful!
as for tips - "Less is more with Decleor!"
also always use your aromessence before a face mask and under your moisturiser and always exfoliate before a face mask as you are losing up to 40% of the effectivness of the mask if you dont.
for example:
moisturiser gives you 40% hydration
used with aromesence its 71%
after 4 hours = 38% v's 61%
after 8 hours = 31% v's 53%
the essential oil molecules have such an affinty with the cellular makeup of the skin that they can travel through the 5 layers of the epidermis through to the dermis where it can mix with the blood and the lymph treating any problem at the root cause.
moisturiser is usually water based and so can only travel through the first 2 layers of the epidermis. using the aromessence first it acts like a digger and allows your moisturiser (or any other products) to go a lot deeper.
hope these fascinating decleor facts intrest you as much as they did me! |

yes, apparently there is two cleansing product that are only available for salon use.
Care treatment : Step 1 : Décléor’s ritual signature: It all starts with a welcoming back massage that immediately relaxes you.
Step 2 : the purifying ritual is composed of 2 indissociable steps (Cleansing with ‘Reflet de Pureté’ and exfoliating with ‘Matière à gommer’) which immedialtely and visibly improves your skin’s quality.
s i guess the Phytopeel is something like the 'matiere a gommer'
in one of the blogs :
"My face was cleansed with Reflet de Purete, a product that is only available in salon as it is so powerful. "

i use both of them, but i prefer decleor if u want to start ur own business. because the smell of decleor and multi-use of its products r good for beauty salon. actually , my beautician is using decleor to do facial for me , is excllent for her to give massage on my face and body , which make me totally relax. |

I prefer Decleor, I have tried more products in the Dermalogica range but they do absolutely nothing for my skin except I use the spf15 eye cream and occassionally the eye remover cleanser, but I like the Decleor face and eyes milk cleanser better. |
