Hey girls,
I'm in desperate need of some product that will give me glowing and beautiful skin.
I'm drinking water, taking supplements, eat healthy, exercising, doing face massage and FlexEffect, moisturising my skin, using sunscreen. Did I forget anything? Oh, and exfoliating Naturally my skin looks not so bad, but I have hyperpigmentation, which I cover with foundation. As soon as I apply foundation my skin starts to look dull and ugly (with shiny nose ). The foundations I have are numerous - Chanel, Lancome, Estee Lauder, L'Oreal, Revlon (my favorite), I think even Rimmel and Cover Girl somewhere. Few mineral foundations. What's wrong with me? Is there any product that gives healthy glow to the skin? I'm thinking about Sephora's Luminizer. But afraid that it will end up in my bathroom drawer.
Edited and added: I'm not a smoker. I'm using Copper peptides and Retin A also. |

My skin never glowed as much as when I was using Neostrata 10% glycolic acid cream every night. However, if you are using CP and Retin A already, it is too much for one's skin to tolerate. I am going your route with Retin A and more proven anti aging products. I miss that special glow I would get with glycolic acid though. But it doesn't boost very much collagen at 10%. |

It sounds like confusion with product overload..beleive me I know what you mean. If you want something totally simple that will eradicate all of these products use Elizabeth Grant serums. Oh my. Talk about the glow YOU WILL GET. Did you check out all the "glowy" actresses at the Academy Awards this year (on TV)?? Well those stars were using Elizabeth Grant serums. You will love these serums. |

They are the am and pm torricelumn serums. Your best price is shopnbc. I wouldn't call them miracle serums, nothing is really. They just give me comfortable feeling, fresh, dewy, glowing skin. Thats what I want my skin care to do. |

Be careful with Neostrata and Retin A in particular though. It can cause burning and irritation and must not be used at the same time. Also may I suggest you use the lowest concentration of Glycolic Acid, like 4% (the level 1). It gives similar glowing but not as irritating for you Retin A treated skin. Also you can't use Glycolic Acid at the same time as Retin A (Glycolic acid deactivates retinoic acid). Hope that helps! |

I have Paula's Choice BHA liquid, which I use as toner after removing my make up. And also I have 8% AHA by Paula's Choice again. I'm not using it as it was irritating.
If I get Neutrogena, I will use it every other night - one day Retin A , another Neostrata.
But I think I need some new make up maybe. Because my skin looks pigmented, but good without make up. Geez, I think I'm just looking for problems
For SusieQ:
I checked makeupalley for Elizabeth Grant's serums. The reviews are not very good. People say it's mostly glycerin... |

I know this Tanya but hey I'm happy and I get the look I want, which is glowing, youthful skin. For those that say it is sticky, than they are using too much product. Anyway theres nothing wrong with her ingred listing. Glycerin is a very good water binding ingred for skin.

This seems to be a nice product that is a mixture of oils that are beneficial to the skin. I haven't tried it, I just came about this product during a web search.

Like so many that use Buzz on Acne, I glow! Not only am I now acne free, my skin has the healthy glow that I read about before I started using it. It contains anti-oxidants and copper so I guess they both contribute to this. But there is a definite glow. |

Thanks girls!
I've got Neostrata Night Cream yesterday with 6% glycolic acid. It did sting when I applied it, but just for a few seconds. I skipped my Retin A.
Regarding Elizabeth Grant... She seems so fake on the Shopping Channel... I don't think that she achieved her good looks using hers glycerin serums. Honestly... She's like Joan Rivers for me. |

Just want to add my two cents because I have used a lot of Elizabeth Grant's products and I did not like any one of them. I found the a.m. and p.m. serums to be seriously sticky no matter how much or how little was used. But, the worst part was that they just seemed to sit on top of my skin and did nothing beneficial. Her eye cream was so strong that it actually burned my eyes. I ended up throwing out her products. But, to be fair, there are those who absolutely love her skin care products. I'm just not one of them. |

Hands down the NaturDerm products, any of them! My skin has completely changed since I started to use the Epidermx II. I didn't think I could have glowy skin and I like that they are natural with no parabens or silicones, that is hard to find! |

I've noticed that when I use the NCN Microfiber cloth twice a day, Retin-A, vit C serum, rosehip seed oil (and sunscreen of course), my skin glows. I think it's the microfiber cloth twice a day that really bumped up the glow for me. And massage with frequent applications of the oil after spritzing with Avene water helps too. And drinking as much water as I can stand. Fish oil supplements. It's really a lot of things, not just one thing, isn't it. |

Aiva, thanks!
I read thread yesterday and started dry brushing already. It feels so good . I tried to dry-brush my body some time ago, but then forgot. I will do it again. |

Obagi nuderm. I know that when people try to cover hyperpigmentation with foundation or concealor I think it just brings attention to it and makes skin look dull....just get rid of the pigmentation with obagi. There are great photos on the obagi website, it seems to knock out imperfections and gives back the healthy glow |

Hey Tanya! I hear you on the dull skin... I think introducing Retin A and CP on top of that would dull anyone out. You need to give your skin some nice stuff to calm it down. I noticed when I was using a retinol product (AB peel- has retinol) my skin handled it much better when i used a serum. I used EL Advanced Night Repair Concentrate. It's expensive but I think it's really complementary for some people. Maybe go ask for a little sample at the counter. Oh and from what I read about CP's they seem like slightly dangerous territory. Did you read about EDS member Toby, I believe she had a pretty negative experience. Best of Luck!! |
