Was just wondering what was the best non-surgical treatment that you have had?
I have had a few and my favourites are:
Danne Peels - (Danne Montague-king) - this is a light peel, followed by an enzyme mask that is applied for 40 mins. I was really impressed with the final results - my skin was soft and glowing!! I have monthly peels to keep it up.
Mesotherapy - this involves injecting vitamins and anti-aging serums into your skin. It sounds a lot more painful that it actually is! I found that this works wonderfully with the Danne peels.
I am wanting to try Thermage next and wondered if anyone had experienced this, and if so was it worth the money? |

I heard mesotherapy is for losing weight and fat loss. I didn't know it was also anti-aging. Did you find that it helped with fat loss? |

I wonder how Mesotherapy, injecting vitamins and anti-aging serums into the skin, can be compared to pushing them into the skin with Dermaroller?
what is better/more effective? |

Botox
I hold my face muscles very tensely (why? I wish that I knew) & have always frowned so the botox has relaxed everything above my eyes and softened my whole look. An added real bonus is that my once nearly constant headaches have since left as a direct result of my relaxed forehead . |

Botox and juvaderm for sure! IPL's and peels next on the list for turning back those years of sun damage. |

Hi Bira,
Mesotherapy can be used to inject vitamins into the skin and for anti-aging purposes. I have had it done on my face and was impressed with the results. (I have had no facial weight loss as a result) I have just bought a Dermaroller so I am going to use that to see how it compares. Will let you know,

Haven't had a whole lot of different treatments, but Botox is great. I frown in my sleep and squint in the sun, and Botox takes that tension right away and immediately gives me a smooth area between my brows.
Fillers are good if you get someone who knows what they are doing. |

I have to go with Botox too... My 11's (actually, just had a very deep 1) have been pronounced most of my adult life. I had my first Botox shots just before my wedding 11 yrs ago - didn't want them showing up in all the photos.
I didn't get any shots again until a couple of years ago (just post-divorce - funny how that works) - the line had become really deep by that time. In fact the doctor had a hard time getting the needle into the muscle because it was so "developed." He actually used a bit of filler (Juvederm if I remember correctly) at the same time because the crease was so deep. I've been trying to maintain the results since then because I was thrilled. This last time, I was able to go almost a year (10 months) before it started bothering me again. Like someone else said - I LOVE the side effect of fewer headaches too! |

Hi there,
for my mesotherapy I had 5 treatments (one per week) and then I have one every month/or sometimes every other month.
The treatments cost about £80 per session (for my face and neck) and this includes a light peel (glycolic) before the treatment. My skin felt great after the first session.
However, I have just starting using my dermaroller (which I bought off ebay for £17!) and have been really impressed with the results - my skin really glows and looks in great condition. This works on the same principle as meso and is a fantastic alternative.
Hope this helps,
Steph x |
