I had been using tazorac cream for probably 7-8 years with great results and my skin tolerated it just fine but recently my skin just cant tolerate it anymore.
I gave my skin a break for 2 weeks to recover from irritation and just started differin .3. Hopefully it will control my acne as well but I guess time will tell. I've used the .1 in the past and it didnt do a thing for me.
I just thought it was kind of strange that suddenly my skin didnt like taz any more. |

Did you add anything else to your skincare regimen? I once became sensitized to mild retinoids after an aggressive glycolic acid peel. It was several weeks before I could use a retinoid without sensitivity after that.
I don't bother with high AHA peels anymore for that reason. |

No changes in my skincare and no peels or treatments. If differin does control my break outs I'm definitely going to try taz again. |

look at your diet , and see if your getting enough essential fatty acids ,sometimes your skin gets so dehydrated that you can't use retinoids |

This is an interesting point, my skin has been more on the dry side these days and it's not due to winter weather because I live in southern FL. I did start taking some Omega 3 a few weeks ago.
Today my skin is feeling so much better, almost 3 wks since I stopped the taz. |
