I have a flesh colored small bump right under my eye, close to the lower lashes. It does not have a stem, it is raised above the surrounding skin so I'm not sure what to call it.

When it first appeared it was barely noticeable now it's about 3-4 mm. oblong shape. I think it's a tag.

Does anyone know if there are natural methods for removal? Would I dare use an acid that close to my eye? Please help.

I had some on my neck and had them removed by a dermatologist who zapped them with nitrous oxide? I think. It kind of burnt them off and was not painful. and they have not come back on that area. I don't think you can safely remove them yourself.

Could it be a wart? I would definitely see a doctor for this. I have removed skin tags with dental floss before (it worked well) but only for one or two on my neck. Really I wouldn't recommend that method, especially for your precious face (!) Cryotherapy isn't that bad, I had it done when I was 6 years old and it didn't bother me too much.

I agree, I would not try to fix this myself. Its best to see a derm.

Thank you for your advices. I had heard some people used CP serum and it worked well. I do have CP but I'm not sure I should use it close to my eye.

My hubby has had several removed by the derm, a simple freeze and they fall off technique. Some can be confused with a wart or type of simple pre-cancer so it would be best to always have a derm look at it. Skin cancer runs in our family so I am very cautious.
Skin tags are incredibly common and increasingly so the older you get. I am developing a small one now i am having to have looked at. Good luck!

I would like to report back on a simple remedy I used for this eye tag.

I made a paste with a small amount of baking soda and avocado oil. I applied this to the tag with a very small brush or sometimes with the tip of a toothpick. I did this a couple of times a day leaving it on from 30 min. to an hour. After 3 days of doing this the application resulted in a feeling of irritation and slightly burning sensation so I stopped. The area even looked a bit pink. Eventually the top layer of skin peeled off and the tag was greatly diminished.

Now, a month later, it again seemed more prominent so I reapplied the baking soda paste and again it got smalled after one application of about an hour.

I'm not recommending this method to anyone, just sharing my experience. Eventually I'll have it checked out by a dermatologist, but for the time being it's barely noticeable.
