I have noticed that a leeetle bit of highlighter around my eyes really makes all the difference: I would look rested and super radiant! I am a blush addict (in that I never leave home without wearing it; not that I collect it - although my blush collection is growing... Laughing ) and generally blushes do give me that radiance boost but this effect is amplified when I also highlight my eye area.

I know a friend who can transform herself with just a sweep of mascara: people would be looking at her and saying she looks smashing and not know what it is about her that's changed.

So, what is the ONE thing that makes a difference for you? TIA

Definitely the concealer! I look like a victim of domestic abuse without it! Skeery!

What an interesting thread. I notice clear or beige lipgloss makes a large difference for me. I think with my fair skin it gives me a pop and brightens my face. I have a friend who looks awesome with just a little blush, it brightens up her complexion a lot.
Make up really just is a way of looking like we have lots of estrogen and are fertile, or so I have read. Foundation - clear skin, Mascara - big eyes, etc. So maybe whatever enhances your features or camouflages undesirable ones...

it`s definitely mascara for me - I have dark blond hair/eye lashes, so that my eyes look inexpressive, and mascara makes a dramatic difference.

I have to use absolutely everything to make any kind of a difference at all! But if I had to pick one, it would probably be mascara - I feel totally naked without it. Next would be a tinted moisturiser.

A bit of light foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer to even out skin tone and minimize sun spots and broken capillaries.

For me, it has to be eyeliner (underneath the eye). i don't have the thickest, lushest of lashes any way, but for some reason my lower eyelashes are virtually non-existent. the few i do have tend to be blonde for some bizarre reason (i'm brunette).

This tends to make me look kinda ill and ghostly and i a miracle occurs when i use a dark eyeliner under my eyes. I would do without foundation, mascara, lipstick .... anything, as long as i could keep my precious eyeliner!

For me it has to be eyeliner also. I generally don't wear makeup although I will sometimes wear a tinted moisturiser, but I couldn't be without my eyeliner. It changes my look from half knackered to being alert! hehehehe. I tend to go for a dark green eyeliner or a navy/blue colour. Interesting poll this Very Happy

My vote goes to foundation/powder. I can't go out with a mineral foundation.

I picked the one thing that I would notleave the house without and that's foundation (MMU). I don't use much, just a quick swipe somedays, but it's enought to even out my tone and hide those small imperfections.

For me eyeliner is the most important. Not a lot, but enough so my eye stand out.

I think the most important makeup item for me would be foundation (base makeup) cos I think that even if your other features arent madeup, as long as your face/skin is smooth and radiant then everything about you would look nice.

Teabags have you thought of using a lash growth formula on your bottom lashes? It could help you substantially...

I would vote first for foundation/powder, then mascara second. If I could only use one it would be foundation/powder even though my skin is nice I love the look of a little warmth to my face that I get with powder or foundation

I think foundation makes an even skin tone without any redness or blemishes is like prepping a canvas for a painting. You can then just gloss your lips or leave them untouched and highlight your eyes. Without the foundation it's not the same...
