Hello I need some assistance. My sister is currently breast feeding and she has asked me to make some of my DIY lotions etc for her. I have searched for list of what is acceptable and what is not but all I can find is that Retin A is the only product that is a definite no.
Any help would be appreciated. |

No Retin-A and Obagi Nuderm, and that is the reason why I on/off use Obagi in the past 10 years. |

This is probably not what you want to hear - but I would be inclined to stay away from DIY whilst breast feeding. Better to be safe than sorry. Retin-A is a definite no no - but who knows what actives and in what percentages are safe for baby? I would just stay with OTC natural products. |

When you breast feed a baby, anything you ingest or put on your skin is passed on to the baby - this is why you must be careful to avoid toxic or dangerous drugs and chemicals. It has nothing to do with allergies. |
