Hi everybody. I'm newbie and glad to be here. This forum contains a lot of good info.

I was wondering if anybody could help me. I'm interested in buying the PSF 5% BHA lotion, but I couldn't find which Ph value it has.

Does anybody know which Ph this product has? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Thanks a lot!!!

Thanks for your reply.

Well...5% can be pretty strong depending on the Ph. I know the Ph will be in the acidic range, but I would like to know a more specific value because it has a very strong influence on the strength of the BHA.

For example, a 2% BHA product with a Ph of 2 is a lot stronger than a 5% BHA product with a Ph of 4,5.

That's why it's really important to know the Ph of a chemical exfoliant.

I emailed them with the same question a while ago, and this was the reply I got
Quote:
Thank you for your email. The pH of the 2% BHA Solution is around 2.3 and the pH of the 5% BHA Solution is around 1.9.

But it is in a base of alcohol, which may be very drying... HTH!

Thank you very much. That was exactly what I needed to know.

I won't use it more then 2x a week, so I'm hoping it won't dry out my skin too much.
