| Dr. Hauschka Quince Day Cream, the only product that I've really liked. I really want to try the clarisonic but I'm not sure what cleanser to use, I don't want to change the cleanser that I'm using. |

What cleanser are you using? Any cleanser works with it as long as it does not have grains for exfoliation it, since the Clarisonic exfoliates already. |

| I would have to say my HG is retin-a .05%.....don't know how I ever did without it as it has done so much for my skin in under 2 months....I really can't believe it. |

Be careful not to overdue, Bren21. To get results with RA in 2 months time is very unusual and sounds like inflammation. |

| Thanks Riley....But I am not saying it's been a miracle worker here:) But it has made a super noticeable improvement to my surface texture and fine lines (now mind you, my lines were super fine and nothing major) |

Luyan,
I have heard mixed reviews about La Mer and have never tried it personally, but would like to. Can you tell me what exactly it has done for your skin and your skin type. |

Yeah well that's the problem. My cleanser has a ton of grains in it and if I used it with the brush I'd have little potholes in my face. The clarisonic is too expensive for me anyway. |

Yes, you will need a gentle cleanser for this since the Clarisonic does all the work. I use PSF Milk Green Tea Cleanser and love it. You can find the Clarisonic on Ebay for $140. If you ever do get enough it really is worth every penny. |

| I tend to alternate - the clarisonic with a light buffing cleanser. the clarisonic is really a marvelous tool. You can use a lightweight, softening cleanser and still get exfoliation. Once my exfoliating cleansers are gone I will probably not replenish them and just stick with the clarisonic. |

There is nothing unusual about getting immediate results with retin_A. That's the way it works
This is my HG product too. As well as CP. |

For me it would also be Retin-A 0.05%
For those who use Retin-A, what has been better for you... the cream or the gel? |

No, actually it isn't.

I have only used the cream myself...would someday maybe like to try the full strength but I see alldaychemist only carries the 1 in gel. I had heard the gel was geared more towards people with oily skin and the cream more for drier skinned people, is this true?
As far as my results with retin-a, I do believe that it can give some sort of results in a short time. Maybe not getting rid of wrinkles yes, but, when you have skin like mine was it's possible. I had slightly enlarged pores around my nose/cheek area, forehead, around my upper lip. Very fine lines on my forehead, and a couple of them in my smile line area on the left side. I also had this short "pit" so to speak in one of my smile lines which bugged the heck out of me. It was fairly noticeable. I don't have wrinkles at all (thank goodness). When you think of the schematics of wrinkles versus "fine" lines....wrinkles are set and go much deeper from continuous movement...fine lines that sit on the surface are usually due to sun damage/environmental/smoking damage and usually plant themselves in areas of movement but can really go anywhere.
Perhaps it's not just the retin-a that is working it's magic with me, but honestly in the matter of 2 months, I have managed to reduce my pore size to next to nothing, skin looks brighter (PC Skin lightener has helped with that), that "pit" is practically invisible, what was left of my forehead lines are gone, those few smile lines have smoothed out. My skin surface just looks great and I think it mostly has to do with retin-a as that is the only thing new I added 2 months ago. Of course too I have had a jump start with the AALS and other things. I think it worked so well for myself because my problems were superficial and of course the jump start helped...retin is going to show superficial results quicker than deeper problem results.... My sis has experienced a bit of the same. She started .05% around the same time I did and stated her skin looks smoother, brighter and pores have shrunk a bit and to hear her be really excited about it, I know something is happening. She has thanked me countless times for getting her started on it...... I do believe it takes up to a year to see the full benefits, but I am more than happy with what has taken place thus far. |

Actually, it depends on the depth of your wrinkles
I'm in my late 20-s and I saw a difference within a few weeks. For my mom it took a bit longer. |
