I've tried Difference on my sunspot, but that didn't help. I am thinking of going to my Dermatologist to get Triluma. I wonder if my insurance would cover a portion of the cost.

Has anyone tried this product? Does it work?

It works great for me. You can only use it for a limited time though so I rotate it....8 weeks on and 3-4 months off.Definitely helps fade pigmentation and makes my skin smoother and more radiant. I've also tried Retin A but that did little for me skin other than make it red and irritated. There is still peeling and dryness but the steroid really helps offset it. My insurance did cover it.

While people can get great results with it, Triluma is best used under the supervision of a doctor. Triluma contains a steriod, and steroids can cause irreversible damage to the skin if overused.

No, I've never taken pics. Triluma is prescription only so must be used under care of a doctor. Alot of things can cause damage if misused or overused...if you'd like to try it I'd suggest you talk to you doctor about any concerns and see if you still feel comfortable using. Triluma has a proven track record for fading hyperpigmentation and is one of the most commonly prescribed bleaching agents. I've used it off and on for over 3 years with only great results. If you read others reviews on Triluma, there's a wide range of responses with some women having no effects at all from it. It's an expensive topical so I'm sure you'd want to be comfortable giving it a try if insurance won't cover it.
