Last night I had a dream I was at a beauty salon. They were going over all my insecurities and planning what to do with me.

I woke up feeling weirdly positive about myself - empowered, even - and thought I'd ask you guys how often you frequent salons (if ever) and what's the most extravagant treatment you've ever had done or wanted to try.

I don't go to salons much, but I'd like to get laser hair removal done (has anyone had this?) on my tummy hair Embarassed

Hi Fox! wave

I don't go to salons much. I did get some laser hair removal on my legs. Be prepared for it to hurt!

I thought it was painless!

Was it effective though?

It *definitely* does hurt. It did work some though. It took more than the 6 sessions they advertise, and not all the hair is gone, but most of it is so I don't regret doing it at all.

I go every 6-7 weeks to get my hair cut and colored. As far as going for any other service, it would be for a mani-pedi.

No, I've been to my derm's office and there is a salon there, but it is very expensive.

I go to a beauty palor of hair cuts, but color at home to save money.

I go to a top colourist because I cannot get the same results elsewhere. But I go to a very inexpensive stylist to cut my hair, which is has a simple long hairstyle.

Most of my beauty budget goes to products and services that I get from a derm: Dysport, fillers, IPL and laser. I do go to an esthetician for pore extraction every few months. I use simple skincare products (Shiseido) apart from Rx items.

I get my brows and underarms waxed monthly. Twice a year I get a facial and my hair done.

I have my hair colored light blonde so I go every 3 1/2 weeks to get a root touch up. I have to admit I love going! Watching everyone with their stories and seeing how they turn out is fun. Wink
