Do any of you know what this means? I read this in a research report, but do not know what types of Vitamin C are esterified or not.
Anyone know the answer? Thanks!

Ester C is supposed to be better absorbed by the body than regular C, as well as less likely to cause stomach issues.
As to a definition, this is what I found:
" Ester is a chemists word to describe a particular chemical bonding configuration Esterified vitamin C means that several ascorbic acid molecules have been linked together in a certain way to form one large molecule." |

If you mean topical Easter C serum, I know that it is more stable and less irritating then L-Ascorbic C.
But it is not as effective also. |

I agree...Ester C is much more absorbable, slower to assimmilate (good) and less acidic. It's the only C I take internally and have so for years and years. I have always wondered if it is the reason I haven't had a cold for about 20 years. |
