hi,
not really sure if this was the right forum for this, but i originally found this site through a post about hair, so, here goes.
im 21, male, and usually have medium-long curly brown hair. a little over a year ago, i got a bad hair cut, pretty short and uneven, and just waited for it to grow back to its usual length, where i have typically had bangs covering most of my forehead and hair those goes over about half my ears. however, my hair growth seemed to slow down a great deal. in the fall and winter i went abroad to south america and my hair remained short, perhaps because of the humidity. when i came back in janurary i found that although the rest of my hair seemed to be growing ok, the hair in the front, the bangs, were still very short. i got another hair cut, evenly this time, pretty short in the hopes that it will all grow back normally this time. however, fail. i then tried another haircut where my bangs (what exists of them) were a little longer than the rest, but it still continued to grow unevenly. about six weeks ago i got another haircut, short and even again (about as short as where the short bangs were) and was told that now, with a good even haircut, my hair should grow back normal. while the rest of my hair, especially in the back and sides, are growing fine, the bangs are still quite short, so i am going in the get a haircut again today and ask for advice.
however, im also asking you here for advice about what to do or products that might help speed up hair growth, what kind of haircut might be good, etc. im currently using some shampoo/conditioner that is supposed to stimulate hair growth, along with some hair vitamins with bitumen. ive been taking them for about a week, maybe 10 days. is there some trick i should be trying? im also in DC, which is quite humid, as was south america, so that could be a factor in my short bangs scrunching up against my forehead. but, id quite like to have medium length bangs again, and since ive never had this problem im not quite sure how to handle it. i dont really think its male pattern baldness, as my mother's family, the men at least, still have most of their hair. but ive also never heard of a guy not being able to just grow his bangs out, so im not sure whats up.
thanks for any advice. |
