I recently started to use a hydrogel-eyepads containing coenzyme Q10 (also known as CoQ10 or Ubiquinone 10)... and I must say that I'm pretty happy with the result...
Just wandering if anyone of you knows anything about what roles CoQ10 play in skincare and what other Q10 products you've tried that you are happy with??!!
Thanks for sharing!! |

I use it in capsule for cardiovascular - think that what it was originally intended for. People who take cholesterol drugs (Co Q10 is depleted so this replaces it)
Haven't used it for cosmetic purposes... |

Coenzyme Q10 is a very potent antioxidant with very effective anti-aging and anti-wrinkle proprties. It reinforces collagen & elastin production of skin & connective tissue, and is a potent moisturizer (especially when encapsulated in liposomes, because it is absorbed very deep into the skin to prevent moisture loss). |

Thanks for the info!!
I did a general search, finding that Nivea and Juvena both carry a Q10 line.
Wandering if any of the fellow members have try their products with great results??!! |

Ive used the nivea coq10 and was extremely happy with the results. I used it at night and in the morning my skin felt very soft and smooth. |

Hi,
I use Nivea Q10 moisturizer and find it has done wonders for my legs which tend to be dry. Nivea is not a product I have ever liked or would even give a second chance. A friend of mine uses it when she gets out of the pool and let me try it one day. I really like the product and you can't beat the price. Plus it gives me more money to spend on skincare for my face lol. |

Does anyone know how to create a solution with coenzyme Q10 powder (perhaps 1g) using oil such as Squalane oil? I tried to make a solution but the powder does not blend in with anything. My intention is to use it as one of the ingredients when formulating creams or lotions. I often come across the recipe showing how to use powders and when to mix them while formulating creams, but I haven't come across a 'solution recipe' to be used as a finished ingredient. Any input or idea will be greatly appreciated. I purchased coenzyme Q10 diluted in the oil and it worked very well, and now I would like to find out how to make one. |

Hi Sach,
Coenzyme Q10 is oil soluable ... so if your powder doesn't blend in with oil it could be that there is something else in the powder.
Are these capsules that you would otherwise take internally? If so, check the bottle label ... and see if there are extra ingredients [there often are].
I know that it was recommended on one site to get the Coenzyme Q10 in a "liquid" within a capsule ... which is more expensive but is easier to work with.

Sach, where did you buy CoQ10 diluted in oil? Was it a skin care product?
Paradise Essentials, my favorite supplement company, sells a CoQ10 in liquid form in caps already disolved in oil. It has no weird fillers or anything and no gelatin. Just oils and vitamin E. It is more exp. then the powders but you need so little for skin care products and it's far less then buying specialized Q10 skin care products. I think I will try adding this to my moisterizer as well.

iherb has the best price I've seen for it http://www.papanature.com/store/ProductDetails.aspx?c=Herbs&pid=PAR-77754 |
