OMG I LOVE L'Occitane. Just bought 8 shea butter soaps, 2 lavender hand wash and 2 room sprays yesterday, (not from EDS). If EDS are selling it cheaper than I can get it, I'm going to go broke! |

I'll start with the shea butter soaps, although they're not listed on here yet, they may be soon.
The soaps a tripled milled, meaning when made the ingredients are tightly packed so they don't go all gooey and slimey and you can use them right down to the last little bit.
They're extremely moisturising, we live in a hard water area and they are the only soaps I will use. You can also use the lather to shave with (men and women), as it's so thick and creamy it can be used like a shave foam.
I bought 8 bars of it yesterday. |

Great I love this range their handcreams are great shea butter at night and I always have the pump by the sinks or wash basins as other people outside Ireland say. Their room fragrances are fabulous especially if their is a dog in the house leaves a lovely pleasant smell not overpowering. I love the old rose smell. Their face creams are great the honey one for sensitive skins is lovely |

Time to stock up on the Verbena range. I love the smell of anything citrus, and there's nothing like coming out of the bath smelling like lemons!! |

This is so cool! I have a L'Occitane store in the mall right by me, but I'm betting my prices (with my discount) will be better here on EDS. How cool! They have really great products! I used to buy some of my perfumes there as well. |

I recommend the shea butter hand cream, it's L'Occitane's most popular selling item and the thickest hand cream on the market. Wonderful if you get dry hands at this time of the year. |

Does anyone know what's the percentage of shea butter in L'Occitane's most popular hand cream?
I currently have 20% shea butter cream and I think maybe I need something even more concentrated.
Edited to add: I just saw it on EDS that the shea butter hand cream has 20% shea butter. What about the Lavender hand cream? |

I like the fact that EDS is stocking more variety, but I would like to see more "true" natural lines. L'occitane is far from all natural. Here is an excerpt of their shower gel ingredients from the EDS store:
Description(notice all the parabens, and SLS):
Clear, fresh shower gel stimulates the body and raises the spirits. Enriched with Shea Butter, it is ideal for even the most sensitive skin. A clean, simple fragrance imparts a delicate sensation of freshness.
Ingredients:
WATER, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, GLYCERYL OLEATE, SODIUM PCA, LAURETH-2, MELISSA OFFICINALIS LEAF EXTRACT, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, FRAGRANCE, TRIETHANOLAMINE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, PEG/PPG-14/4 DIMETHICONE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA BUTTER) EXTRACT, LIMONENE, LINALOOL, METHYLCHLOROISOTHIAZOLINONE, METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE, |

I am not sure how excited I am that EDS is selling this line. Personally, I would not want to try their skincare for me face. I have bought in the past some of shower gels & creams and they were really nice. |

Skincare, I have used their Elixir from the Immortelle line and it was beautiful to use and my skin did look lovely for the 4 months I was using it nightly. I got off it in summer and then passed it on to my mother for her winter use. Hae not used any other items from the face lines though. |

oooh, I'm not familiar with them but might try them now, esp. the soaps and hand cream as mentioned by sarahb.
edit: OFF-topic I just saw that was my 50th post I get 10% off now LOL
ooh should I get the free self-tanner w/ my purchase? I'm going to get the AHAVA Durmud shower cream. Looking for that for my hair (I know weird, but a cousin traveled to Israel and heard that it was good for body and scalp cleansing; she gave it as a gift and I tried and liked) was one reason besides the weird chapped lip thing that I found this forum. And I've learned s o much now :)Luv you guys here |

What the heck is the difference between the immortelle exilir & the precious fluid?? |
|
|
|
|
Tue Jan 30, 2007 8:12 pm |
Marina, I would imagine the precious fluid is a serum-y consistency and for day use. The Elixir is a dry oil and to be used at night time only. I am tempted to get a bottle of the new Elixir formula to compare. |
