Now just a few days ago I added Copper peptides to my lashed in the AM and I seemed to have had a spurt. But still could pos be the JM has spurt as well. The ones on the left are the befores and on the right are the afters. I made comments on each as well. |

Wow, that's noticeable, Wendy! Your lips look great too!
Are you putting copper peptide serum on your lashes? What about your hair and scalp, are you using Folligen or the serum? |

I use Night Eyes. It is a copper peptide for skin but you can use the Folligen Cream for hair as well. But they are saying it is important to follow with the Emu Oil as that helps with the dormant lashes.
This explains it and has some testimonials:

I'm also using Jan Marini Eyelash and have been since March 28. In fact, I joined this forum because I found in my Google search Carekate's ongoing experiment in replicating the formula, a thread I follow with great interest. (Sign me up as a guinea pig!)
Anyway, I've been using it for 35 days as of yesterday. Now, I'm a trich sufferer whose main problem point is the upper eyelashes, and the reason I bought Jan Marini is because I was very impressed with the reviews I had read (though there were few) and frankly, I was coming off a period of very poor self-control and had about 10-15 lashes on each upper lid. Forget about mascara, I didn't even really have anything to put it on. My bottom lashes were intact, but they are so short and so fine that you can hardly see them even when they're there. I'm relating this so you can understand that my starting point is a little more "starting" than normal.
So, I bought it (from another site, though I'll be purchasing it from here next time because the price is better), deciding that the fact that the individual reviews were encouraging and that the tube lasts for 3 months, it was worth a risk. I promised myself that if I was going to buy something that cost me $3 every time I used it, I had darn well better commit to seeing results. (A tactic that has been surprisingly effective!) Now, ordinarily, to go from the point where I was to full regrowth would take me about 8-10 weeks, up to 3 months, for all lashes to begin and complete their growth cycle.
Now, only 5 weeks later, I've achieved almost complete regrowth. My lashes are quite healthy and long, and my upper ones are full length. My *lower* ones, however, which were already full-length (in all their fine, virtually invisible glory) are now twice the length they normally are, and much more noticeable. I compared visually with my twin sister and the difference is dramatic.
I'm *very* encouraged. This product works very well for me. My only caveat is to make sure that you screw the tube shut *tightly*. I've noticed a few times when the tube was firmly twisted closed, but not to the absolute point, that I found a small bit of leakage or residue on the outside of the tube the next day. And hey, that's $2 when that happens! It could just be my tube, but it can't hurt to pass the word along.
I wish I had pictures to corroborate my review, but unfortunately I don't. I will continue to post my results as I use it, though, and try to get pictures in the future. |

Good for you Wendy!! I also have used Jan Marini Lash and to date it is the best one I have used. I just hate the idea that in order to keep these results I would have to continue buying this expensive product. Lucia/Ardell also worked well for me. JM just gave me that extra WOW. Perhaps if I go back to Lucia I will keep the results I have achieved. |

Winnie,
were the jm results acheived using the jm alone or were you still using the ardell/lucia? and maybe stupid ? but how long were you using jm before the wow results?
thanks,

Hi Melissa,
I started off using Ardell then added Lucia. By all means I noticed results and was extremely pleased. I always had just average lashes. As I got older my lashes looked less then average.
At Christmas time I won a $100.00 voucher from EDS. Honestly, I could not believe the price of JM. At the time I was into lashes. I figured "why not." I did not expect much as I had results from Ardell/Lucia. If I can remember correctly, I started seeing the WOW after approximately two weeks of using JM. Even though I was very pleased with Ardell/Lucia the growth and thickness I received from them came to a halt. I am really bad with time but would say I had been using Ardell/Lucia for around 2 months.
At present I wear no mascara only when I get really dressed up. When I do apply mascara now I have a problem. My lashes interfere with my glasses. That is how long/thicker my lashes are. I am just about out of JM and trying to decide what to do. I would prefer to maintain with Lucia if that is possible. If JM lash were the only skin care item I was purchasing for $100 plus it would not be so bad. Unfortunately, I have several products I love. It adds up to be ridiculous. Hope I helped answer your question.
Winnie
Here is a pic I just took...no mascara just Ardell conditioner. I am sure many of you have longer lashes but on me this is extremely long and MUCH thicker. Wow I need to tweeze my brows.

Correction: In pic I have Lamas Lash Masque on not Ardell. I rotate between those two products. Lamas adds a little color but no length or thickness. I have used Lamas on and off for close to 3 years. I don't like not being able to edit. |

I've been waiting for CareKate's lash formula. But it looks like I will order the Jan Marini from the good reviews. Does EDS have the best price? TIA |

I would purchase Carrie's formula without hesitation. IMO Carrie should have her own business. |

Wendy or anyone else, I can't afford JM's product but I do have Skin Bio's Nighteyes product. I found it was so harsh around my eye area, causing redness and flaking so I stopped using it. How are you applying it to your lashes and are you experiencing anything similar to my rxn. thanks. |

Thanks Winnie and thanks for the pic too. I've had great results with ardell/lucia as well and I havent used either in a few months (due to laziness and allergic reaction to meds that made me just plain not care much) and the results have stayed. BTW ur lashes look great!!!

Ingredients:
Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash contains: Deionized water, hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycan (and) sodium hyaluraonate, triethanol-amine, propylene glycol (and) methylparaben (and) propylparaben, acrylates C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, panthenol, biotin, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate, eyelash growth factor.
Does anyone have any idea what "eyelash growth factor" is... I thought all ingredients had to be stated? |

I've been using it for almost eight weeks now and I seen improvement with eyelashes filling in and growing longer and that was at 4-5 weeks. But not I seem to be dropping eyelashes at this point and it is bugging me! Would this be a normal cycle where eyelahes just fall out? They seem to be somewhat thinner than a few weeks ago. |

Wow...the more I read about this product, the more I think I have to have it (unless carekate comes out with her wonder potion before I break down and spend the $$ for Jan Marini!). The growth really IS noticeable!

The price of Jan Marini eyelash is costly. For 0.23 oz, it is around $160. Does any one else have good results? I am tempting to buy it, but don't know if it will work for me. |

Yes, it’s definitely worth the money but see if you can find it on Ebay or another online seller for less. I’m still conducting my experiment using JM Age Intervention Lash on my left lashes and my homemade lash serum on my right lashes and I have to tell you that my lashes never looked this good before, even when I was wearing mascara – I wish like hell that I had a digital camera so I could take a pic of my eyes and post the photo so you could see for yourselves!! The good news is about the JM lash stuff is the fact that I’ve had my tube since Valentine’s Day and it’s still at least ˝ full so I reckon I can get another 2-3 months from it easily, so if you divide the cost by 5-6 months, it doesn’t hurt quite as much....
Bottom line: although my homemade lash serum seems to be holding its own against the JM Age Intervention Lash, I would still have to recommend the JM lash stuff as being the single best ‘store-bought’ lash growth serum that I have ever used and remember – I’ve tried just about all of them! |

Yes, Carekate is right. It does last. If you use it only for your lashes and not brows. I was in the beginning and it worked pretty good but I'm getting better results with the Rogaine on brows and using Folligen creme/Emu oil combo and that is REALLY thickening my brows.
I hadn't seen my GF of 28 years in a few months. She has always noticed I did not have brows and she was really freaked out when she saw me this time! She had always thought, "poor thing, she just has no eyebrows" And now I do, almost as much as anyone.
So save the Jan Marini for the lashes only and you'll save alot of money and get better results.
I am also using the Folligen Cream/Emu Oil on lashes and they are thickening. The JM worked on LENGTH (for ME at least) and the folligen works on thickening. It is a slow process but so what? It works. |

Gosh Carol, I did not see your post. so sorry.
I had my highlights done with the a very gentle bleach and the lightest toner they have left on for like 2 minutes to take out the brass in some areas. Lots of low lights too.
Nomoreneckpain,
I apologize to you as well. I started with the Night eyes Regular and have had no problems whatsoever. BUT I always use the Emu oil afterwards which is a natural anti-inflamatory for the dermis. I think that is what really helps. don't give up! Try using a little less and/or dilute it with water and as I did, I started off 2 nights a week for 2 weeks, then 3 nights, then every other until now every night and 3 days out of the week I use twice a day. Go to the message boards on skinbio and every one has lots of suggestions. That is how I learned. They say it takes about 2 months for the lashes to thicken so it is going to get even better for me. |
