I've searched the forum but not had much success. I only use Clearasil currently and have had a breakout of acne which has really gotten me down because the new acne is breaking out over the same place as I had my old (right cheek) so it looks much worse. I accidently popped a pimple too last night and blood came out and this morning it has a small scab over it and red inflammation.

Can anyone recommend what product is the most effective in treating and fading away acne marks? Because clearasil doesn't seem to do much to prevent or fade the marks.

ANYONE HELP? Sad

I'm still looking for one too!! Unfortunately i dont think skin creams or anything over the counter will work you have to start looking for other alternatives like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, lasers, dermarollers (heard these are great for scars but hurt a lot)!

One OTC product i hear a lot tho is Egyptian Magic Cream i have used this and it broke me out badly so use or check this one on your own discretion!

Try AHA. I have found it very helpful in fading scars (red marks).
For your scab apply some polysporin on it.

What clearasil product are you using?

IME, Retin A helps tremendously! Both with preventing major flareups as well as getting ris of the scars once it's there.

I use Retin A nightly (though not for this purpose, but for antiageing) and a BHA face wash in the morning topped with a C serum and the scars fade pretty fast.

In the past I've also used Dr Hauschka/Holland Cleansing Cream for scars with much success. HTH some!

i find that vitamin c serum really helps and i find that it doesn't aggravate my acne. i only use it at night and wake up in the morning to lighter scars.

chemical peels also help but i find that it dries out the skin too much and makes the acne worse.

benzac (medicated prescription lotion) helps prevent breakouts but need a script from the gp

hi there,

i have many skin biology's products, including bnd cream and supercop 2x. they are copper peptide creams. i believe the forum users are using it to tighten skin, rejuvenation, sun damage, spot treatment, and removing scars.

there are many threads on this topic and many experienced users.

please be careful. this is harsh stuff. i'm just using it for a few scars, and a light weekly treatment for my body. HTH

There was a lot of hype a while ago about the egyptian magic cream, not so much for scars but because it was supposed to be a great fix all product, makes hair shiny etc. so I bought it and didn't find it that great at all and it will most definitely break your skin out as it has a real thick oily consistancy.
At the first instance when you get a wound I use fresh aloe vera which helps heal and stop scars from appearing, then although this may cause a few break outs try bio oil. It's great for fading scars, stretch marks, evening out pigmentation...
I would also try finding a better alternative to clearasil... I never found it helped plus there has been a lot of negative talk about some of the ingredients in that sort of stuff. Have a look at Lalisse, it's pretty natural and although a little harsh (it dries my skin out but my boyfriend loves it!) it diminishes the pimple very quickly!
Hope that helps Smile

Which vitamin C serum do you ladies recommend?

I am currently using Retin A .1% at night and would like a product that would work with my Retin A to reduce hyperpigmentation marks.

I know often time people recommend hydroquinone to help fade red marks. Has anyone has any luck with any products?
