After quite some time of being a product junkie, I have returned to Valmont again and my skin is just loving it. I just wish I had stayed with Valmont all along.

Nature Reviving with a Biological Scrub is quite a different product to anything else I have used that comes under the meaning of scrub. The texture is like a very thick gel which is almost clear in colour.

The directions for use are:
In the morning, apply directly on the face with dry hands. Massage until the texture becomes oily then turns into milk and rinse in clear water.

I am a little unsure as to whether it is applied on a wet or dry face, but I apply it onto dry skin, massage gently and then apply just a touch of water and continue massaging for about 30 seconds. It rinses off with water very easily and there is no residue.

The actual Valmont description of the product is:
“Radiance biological enhancer. This gel melts on the skin as a delicate scrub oil then turns into milk when in contact with water to eliminate all the impurities that dull the complexion. Thanks to the glow revealing enzyme, and to the Phyto-Alpine complex enriched with White Lupine for stimulating microcirculation, it gently reactivates the glow of healthy skin.”

I have never used a product like it and there is no “scrub” as such because there are no grains and it is exceptionally gentle on the skin. However, it is extremely effective. Since I have been using this product, I just don’t need any scrub or exfoliator as my skin has become almost poreless and the remaining pores that can be seen are clean. I just love it. It is gentle but effective.

In the evening I use Nature Cleansing with a Gel and in the morning I just use the Biological Scrub as my morning cleanser.

Rating as a combined cleanser/scrub/exfoliator 5/5

Hi Bushy.

I have the same tendency to find something that works very well, but maybe one aspect could be improved or I just need a change, and then I try different products and often come back to the former ones. Glad you love the Valmont.

I wanted to ask about this cleanser. Do you think it would work well for pores that get full of sebum and then turn darkish (on my nose and some on chin area)? Not real blackheads which can be extracted but just pores that need to be cleaned out.

I am loving the M Lab cleanser as it does a better job with pores and is less drying than the Shiseido cleansers, except the Future Solutions LX which is lovely but doesn't get at these deeper pore issues and the Shiseido refining discs are great for all over exfoliation.

I would appreciate any updates you have re Valmont. thanks. Harriet

I think it is excellent for cleaning pores. It is quite think to apply but once you get it smoothed on, you then massage it and after about 10 to 20 seconds it turns oily. You keep massaging for another 10 to 20 seconds, then apply a small amount of water and all the oil disappears and it turns milky. It is then very easy to rinse off. It seems to me that the initial massage really opens the pores and then the oily stage cleans them out. It really is the best I have used because it is effective but gentle on the skin and it rinses away completely. It also means that you can use one product as it is both cleanser and exfoliator.
